Accustomed to the breakneck pace that The Bachelor franchise provides, the former football player attempted to take their relationship at a pace that wasn’t natural or realistic.

“I put a lot of pressure on our relationship and I sort of was always defending it or I was overcompensating and trying too hard,” Underwood began, reminiscing about the beginning of their relationship. “I was almost pushing her away by trying to bring her closer saying like, ‘No we’ll be fine we’ll be engaged by this date,'” Underwood continued about the pressure he was putting on Randolph and their relationship.

In addition to being overwhelmed by the pace Underwood was setting, Randolph also wasn’t pleased with how public Underwood was making their relationship.
