Colton Underwood & Cassie Randolph’s Fans Are Over Proposal Pressure
ABC might be gearing up to announce their new pick for Bachelor (spoiler: it’s this person), but fans are still hyperfocused on the old one. Colton Underwood made headlines when he famously jumped a fence and ran away after his now-girlfriend, Cassie Randolph, dumped him on national TV. After making it to the top three, Randolph sent herself home ahead of fantasy suites.
The Bachelor Season 25
Rather than stay and pursue his other relationships with Hannah Godwin and Tayshia Adams, Underwood opted to end both relationships, quit the show, and pursue Randolph. The season ended abruptly, without the engagement that usually accompanies the show after Randolph was receptive to Underwood’s advances. While some of Bachelor Nation was skeptical about the true nature of the relationship between Underwood and Randolph, the two appear to be going strong and are still together, months later.
Proposal pressure on IG
In fact, the two are doing so well that many fans have begun questioning when they will finally tie the not. Though the two have only been exclusively dating for a few months, people are pressuring them left and right to get married. “Back pocket type of hug,” Underwood captioned a recent picture of himself and Randolph. In the black and white image, the pair are caught in an embrace and Underwood is looking down at his girlfriend dotingly.
The image immediately was flooded with love, but some fans started right in on the proposal pressure. “When r u gonna propose,” one fan asked. “Why are you NOT married yet if you both are so in love? Just asking,” another questioned. “He’s the real deal, Cass. Praying your heart feels ready to marry this man. The ring is burning a hole in his pocket…..” another commented. “Can’t wait for this wedding PROPOSEEEEE,” another Instagram user demanded.
Fans defend the couple’s decision to wait
While these hopeful fans likely have good intentions, other fans of the couple are not pleased with the fact that the pair are constantly being pressured to get married. “I’m gonna need you to get 100% off my homie’s back. Colton Underwood will propose when they are in that place together and he is obviously gonna do this whole shindig so he’s not gonna spoil it on Insta by telling you,” one fan wrote in retaliation.
Their own timeline
Other fans began to encourage fans to do whatever worked best for their unique relationship and timeline. “To the posts saying get married…. really? They’re both young and maybe they want to explore each other for a while and then maybe an engagement… Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph you guys do what makes you BOTH happy….. in my experience rushing into things doesn’t work well,” a person commented. “Love them but I agree! Look at Jojo and Jordan…. its been a few years but they’ve taken their time with marriage but seem so happy. Maybe they’ll get married when Cassie graduates,” another superfan commented in agreement.
A normal couple
Both Underwood and Randolph have been very open about the fact that they don’t want to rush into anything. “We don’t, like … wanna plan anything. We don’t wanna have, like, set expectations or put any pressure on just because that’s what the show told us we had to do. We’re just enjoying being normal, a normal couple,” Underwood said in an interview with US Weekly.
Underwood & Randolph aren’t worried about engagement
“We really don’t have a timeline. We’ve definitely talked about it, but we’re just enjoying right now and not worrying about it,” Randolph cosigned. Sounds like a healthy way to look at things. We hope the pair will continue to make decisions that work best for their relationship. With a new season of The Bachelor coming in a few months, we hope fans will ease up on pressuring them a bit.
