In the Duggar family, there is never a shortage of news. With so many children, someone is almost always starting a courtship, getting married, or having a baby. And fans have kept their eyes on Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson, who tied the knot back in June 2018. The couple has not yet welcomed a child due to Swanson having a miscarriage several months ago, but it’s clear they want to start a family. Could they be the next Duggar couple to announce a pregnancy?

The Duggar family is about to grow by four. Anna Duggar, Jessa Seewald, Joy Forsyth, and Kendra Duggar all recently announced that they’ll be expecting babies this year. This means there are plenty more Duggar cousins in the works, and the next generation surely won’t run out of cousins to play with. Plus, the Duggars’ cousin, Amy, is also expecting. For a while, there were no pregnancy announcements; the last baby to be born into the Duggar family was Felicity Vuolo, who is the child of Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo. But she’s about to be dethroned as the youngest Duggar.

Duggar and Swanson announced they had a miscarriage a few months’ back

Duggar and his wife, Lauren Swanson, wed a little less than a year ago. But the two knew they wanted to start a family right away. However, they didn’t make any pregnancy announcements, and fans were patiently waiting for the two to say they’d be welcoming a child of their own. But only a couple months ago, Swanson and Duggar announced on their Instagram page that Swanson had had a miscarriage a little while back. She recalled the emotional moment when she went to use the restroom and realized she had miscarried. “I wasn’t feeling well,” she said on the family’s show, Counting On. “I was cramping really, really bad… I went to use the restroom and there was the baby. Gone.”

Though the couple might need time to recover, it’s clear they want to start a family

Since the young couple announced the miscarriage, they haven’t announced a second pregnancy. But on Mother’s Day, Duggar posted a photo with a heartfelt caption wishing Swanson a happy Mother’s Day. “I have seen you love, protect, and how much you have given without getting anything in return,” the caption read. “I wish our sweet baby could’ve seen just how wonderful a mother you are.” Fans adored the post, and it prompted women to share their own stories of loss in the comments section of the post. Despite losing a child, it’s clear that the couple is eager to start a family of their own. They’re young and full of life, and there is no doubt they will one day have a baby.

Fans suspect either Swanson or Abbie Burnett will announce a pregnancy next

Since Swanson was pregnant once, fans are certain she will get pregnant again and deliver a healthy baby. She and Duggar may need to wait until it’s their time, but fans are expecting they will make an announcement in the near future. Also, Abbie Burnett, who married John David Duggar back in November 2018, will likely make a pregnancy announcement of her own sometime soon. It’s a toss-up between which of these Duggar women fans think will announce first, but with so many babies joining the family this year, there is no doubt they both have baby fever more than ever.
