Could Matt Roloff Be Leaving ‘Little People, Big World’? Why Fans Think So

Fans have been keeping up with the Roloffs for years, and well into 2019, they still continue to be one of our favorite families. It all began with Matt and Amy Roloff, two little people who married and have four children together. Through Little People, Big World, we’ve seen how Matt and Amy navigate life as their kids grew up — and now, even the youngest Roloff child, Jacob, is getting married.

It hasn’t always been all sunshine and rainbows for the Roloff family, however. Matt and Amy went through a divorce, and Jacob, Jeremy, and Molly Roloff have all chosen to no longer take part in the show. Now, fans are beginning to think Matt could be the next family member to jump ship. Here’s why.

Fans suspect Matt could be planning a permanent move to Arizona

Fans of Little People, Big World know that the focus has always been on the Roloff farm in Oregon — but Matt has mentioned a move to Arizona in the past, sparking speculation that he could be planning on leaving the show altogether. The Hollywood Gossip notes when Matt and Amy ended their marriage in 2016, Matt agreed to live in the farm guest house. But since that arrangement was only meant to be temporary, viewers knew he’d have to move on to his own place — and many suspected that would be in Arizona, where he spends much of his time with girlfriend Caryn Chandler.

Nowadays, we know Matt and Caryn have a vacation home in Arizona. But more recently, Radar Online also reported that the couple announced they were leaving the Oregon farm for a few weeks en route to the new state, which caused great speculation that perhaps they were planning a more permanent move. Fortunately, to quell worried fans, we also know that Matt is building a new home in Oregon with Caryn, so hopefully the speculation doesn’t turn out to be correct.

He’s spoken in the past about how he considered leaving the show

Matt is a central character on the show, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t considered leaving in the past. On an Instagram post written back in 2018, he got candid with his followers regarding how he feels about sharing his life on television. “Some of you know I have recently joined Amy Zach and Tori in filming more episodes of LPBW,” he wrote. “After Jeremy and Audrey dropped out I did some serious soul searching of my own… and realized we still have many stories to share with you all. So thank you all for the love love. Here we go again. Stay tuned.”

Jeremy and his wife, Audrey, famously dropped out of the show to pursue their own creative ventures and take care of their family. Sadly for fans, this meant they were no longer taking part in the show, though they do continue to make guest appearances. When they decided they were leaving, many feared it would create a ripple effect for the rest of the family — and we see now that Matt also considered calling it quits. As one fan commented, “Hey Matt glad your not leaving I LOVE the show and have watched it since it started, I hope you keep it going for a very long time.”

Matt’s relationship with his girlfriend could change his perspective, too

We’re hoping Matt will continue to be a part of many more seasons of Little People, Big World, but fans might also be concerned that his relationship with girlfriend Caryn will eventually take precedence over the show. CafeMom reminds us the two have been an item for quite some time, and now they seem to be taking their relationship in a more serious direction. Fans have even questioned whether they’re engaged — and while they aren’t currently, it does seem like Matt may pop the question in the future.

If Matt and Caryn decide to wed, could this affect his future on the show? We’ll have to wait and see.
