‘Counting On’: Amy Duggar May Have Just Admitted She’s Ignoring the Current Duggar Legal Investigation

Whether you’re keeping up with the Duggars via the current season of TLC’s Counting On or you’re relying on social media, there are plenty of ways to know what the huge family is up to next. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were the first to catapult their 19 children to fame. And after legal scandals and controversies over the years, we’re all intrigued by what’s going on currently.

Amy Duggar is Jim Bob’s sister’s daughter, and she’s known for living a less-restrictive life than her 19 cousins. Since rumor currently has it that Homeland Security investigators are checking up on some Duggar family members, everyone’s looking to Amy to spill the tea. And she may have just subtly suggested something’s going down, but she’s choosing to “ignore” it.

Amy Duggar’s always been the black sheep of the family

Back when 19 Kids and Counting was airing, fans saw a lot of Amy Duggar, as she appeared to be close with her cousins, Jim Bob, and Michelle. But Amy started disappearing from the show and family events. And when she didn’t make an appearance at Jinger Duggar’s wedding back in 2016, rumors of a feud ran rampant.

Amy and the rest of the Duggars claim there’s no bad blood between them, however. And Amy noted she didn’t show up to Jinger’s wedding due to having prior engagements that she couldn’t reschedule.

Even so, it’s important to note that Amy is much different than her Christian fundamentalist cousins. She was allowed to wear pants and casually date while growing up, which is a huge departure from what Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids were permitted to do. And it looks like she won’t be imposing any super-strict rules on her own children, either.

A Duggar place of employment is reportedly under investigation

The Duggar family’s relationship with Amy is the least of their concerns now. According to Fox News, Homeland Security agents went to the car dealership Josh Duggar works at to investigate. And it’s been causing a splash amongst Counting On fans ever since the news hit. At this time, it’s still unclear as to what exactly is going on, but we’re sure it’ll all come to light soon enough.

As for the Duggars, they aren’t keeping quiet about the investigation, either. The outlet reported the family completely denied that their family home in Arkansas was raided.

“We were shocked to see a news report today state that our home was raided by federal law enforcement agencies,” the Duggars told People. “This is not true. To the best of our knowledge, it’s also not true that any member of our family is the target of any investigation of any kind.”

Amy tweeted she’s choosing to ‘ignore’ whatever’s going on

It seems only Jedidiah Duggar has directly spoken out about what’s going on — and he claimed he didn’t know of any investigations occurring at the Duggar family home. Aside from that, fans continue to speculate based on what’s presented by the family via social media. And Amy Duggar’s Twitter post is quite interesting.

“I’m in newborn bliss and I’m just going to ignore the rest,” Amy Duggar captioned a photo of her and her baby on Twitter.

That’s all Amy has to say so far — and fans are asking her what it all means. There’s a good chance Amy’s not as in-the-loop as Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids are regarding the investigation, too, so might just be getting her information piecemeal like the rest of us. We’ll have to wait and see what happens next — and if Amy’s willing to spill any more tea on the situation as it comes to her!
