‘Counting On’: Did Derick Dillard Just Confirm He Is Feuding With Jim Bob Duggar?

Former Counting On star Derick Dillard may have just confirmed the long-standing rumor that he is feuding with his father-in-law, Jim Bob Duggar. Dillard put the Duggar patriarch on blast over the weekend in a series of revealing tweets, raising questions about how the rest of the family gets paid. The tweets seem to suggest that Duggar controls all of the family’s revenue from Counting On and could also confirm that things are not right between Dillard and the rest of the family.

Did Derick Dillard just confirm the feud rumors?

The controversy began when a fan asked Dillard if TLC paid the bill for his wife, Jill Duggar’s, pregnancy. Dillard revealed that he requested the network to reimburse him for the pregnancy, but only because it was featured on Counting On.

A fan then asked the former Counting On star why Duggar takes all the money from the franchise for himself. In response, Dillard said that he has no idea why Duggar doesn’t divvy out the money and that fans should ask his wife’s father if they really want some answers.

“So why does Jim Bob get all the money for the show and doesn’t give any to his children? The actual stars of the show,” the fan wrote.

“I don’t know. You would have to ask him that,” Dillard wrote in reply.

After spilling that revealing tidbit, one of Dillard’s social media followers then asked him about his profile quote, which talks about not compromising “your values for your voice.”

After asking if Duggar was his “voice,” Dillard stated that he wasn’t and never has been. Considering how members of the family usually show a tremendous amount of respect for Duggar, the comments are pretty scathing.

A fan then inquired about all of the feud rumors surrounding Dillard and Duggar, stating that they hope none of the reports are true.

“Why do you hope it’s not true?” Dillard said in reply.

Although Dillard did not elaborate on his thoughts, his comments definitely hint that everything is not right between him and Duggar.

Why is Dillard speaking out now?

What’s interesting about Dillard’s recent tweets is that some of the questions were asked over a year ago. But there could be a reason why Dillard chose to speak out now, of all times.

The new season of Counting On just kicked off and the premiere could have dug up old memories.

As Counting On fans will recall, Dillard was booted from the series after making some questionable comments about the LGBTQ community on social media.

TLC did not appreciate the remarks and did not invite Dillard back on the show. Dillard’s wife, Jill Duggar, followed his lead shortly after and has not returned to the series.

Rumors of a feud between Dillard and Duggar surfaced not long after his exit. Inside sources claim that Duggar was not happy with Dillard’s behavior on social media, especially how it put the rest of the family in a negative light.

Duggar was also reportedly unhappy with how Dillard pushed his wife to leave the series as well. The feud rumors heated up last year after Dillard claimed that he was forced to appear on Counting On for free.

Derick Dillard opens up about ‘Counting On’ salary

In 2018, Dillard took to Twitter to vent his frustrations over his lack of salary from Counting On.

In a revealing tweet, Dillard slammed Jim Bob Duggar for making him appear on the show as a volunteer, claiming that he did not get paid. Duggar did not respond to Dillard’s comments, but this is hardly the first time he has been involved in a social media controversy.

Despite getting fired and starting a feud with Duggar, Dillard has not stopped sharing his true feelings online. This has gotten him in hot water with fans on numerous occasions, though it does not appear as if he plans on stopping anytime soon.

Following the comments that got him removed from Counting On, Dillard offered to sit down and visit with Jazz Jennings, the trans star he insulted on Twitter. No word yet on if that chat ever happened, but this probably isn’t the last we’ve heard from Derick Dillard.

As far as the other Duggars are concerned, fans can watch them return to action when new episodes of Counting On air Tuesday nights on TLC.
