‘Counting On’: Did Jana Duggar Just Confirm That the Show Is Scripted?
Fans of reality TV shows like Counting On are well aware that some of the things they see have been scripted or, at the very least, staged to increase the chances of drama. But viewers still like to believe that most of the things that happen are not planned ahead. At the end of the day, nobody likes to hear that their favorite shows are scripted, which is why so many viewers are angry at Counting On’s Jana Duggar.
Did Jana Duggar confirm that ‘Counting On’ is scripted?
Counting On fans are always up for a behind-the-scenes look at their favorite show, but Duggar’s recent post may have crossed the line.
The Counting On star shared some photos from the set of the popular show, which featured a bunch of crew members doing their best to film a scene. The post was innocent enough, but it left fans confused because the images looked like they were taken from an actual set.
“Here’s a few behind the scenes, throwback pics from previous shoots! Grateful for all of our amazing crew members!” Duggar shared.
Fans were quick to express their thoughts on the photos, with some asking Duggar if the entire show is filmed inside a studio. There is no denying that some of the photos were taken on a set, but Duggar vehemently denied that the show was filmed inside a studio.
In fact, Duggar assured her followers that Counting On is filmed inside their house and that nothing is faked for the camera. But after fans kept at it, she finally admitted that some of the interviews are done on a set, which only led to more questions.
Duggar dishes on scripted rumors
Although the photos were pretty incriminating, Duggar was adamant that most of the scenes on Counting On are filmed inside their real houses.
She also revealed that some members of the crew have been filming with them since the series started and that everyone is a close-knit crew. This includes a few members of the crew that have been with the family for the past 15 years.
But given how some of the scenes are clearly filmed under controlled conditions, fans cannot help but wonder if the entire series is scripted.
Not to mention, fired Counting On star Derick Dillard made headlines when he doubled down on the rumors that the show is scripted. His wife, Jill Duggar, has not addressed his accusations.
Is ‘Counting On’ scripted?
The fact that some scenes are filmed inside a studio has left fans wondering if the whole series is shot on a set. According to The Hollywood Gossip, there is a good chance that most of the filming takes place in an actual home like we are led to believe.
That said, Duggar’s post made it seem like more than just the interviews are filmed on a set. If Duggar is lying about the studio filming, what else might she be hiding?
At this point, there is no telling how much of Counting On is scripted and how much of it is real. Unless the Duggars come out and clear things up, we will likely never know what really goes on behind the scenes.
Given their history, it is unlikely that the Duggars will ever comment on the rumors. If Counting On operates like other reality TV shows, then fans should know that some of the drama that unfolds is definitely scripted.
Duggar shares organizational tips
While we wait to learn more, Duggar has been busy teaching her followers how to remain organized throughout the year.
In her latest segment, the Counting On star shared exactly how she organized her messy closet. Duggar started by taking everything out of her wardrobe and organizing things into three separate piles.
The first pile was for things she wanted to keep, the second pile was for items she would like to hold onto, while the third pile was everything that was going to be donated. Duggar shared images throughout the process, which proved very inspiring to her followers.
Even her younger sister, Anna Duggar, praised her for always being a source of inspiration. Duggar may be one of the oldest members of the family who has not tied the knot, but she still knows plenty of tips and tricks to help people through life.
Fans can watch Duggar in action when new episodes of Counting On air Tuesday nights on TLC.
