‘Counting On’ Fans Are Confused How Jinger Duggar Can Afford Her $4,000 Rent in Los Angeles
It’s obvious that Jinger Duggar is quickly becoming a fan favorite. From her big move to California to her stylish apparel, she’s clearly becoming a role model and source of inspiration for the legions of people who can’t get enough of Counting On and the Duggar family.
Jinger may follow most of the family rules, but her life still feels stylish, sophisticated, and fun. Plus, her daughter Felicity is absolutely adorable.
Jinger and her husband Jeremy Vuolo already broke family tradition by moving away from the family enclave in Arkansas and striking out on their own in Laredo, Texas. But fans were even further delighted to find that Jinger and Jeremy were moving to sunny California this year. It felt like a whole new chapter for the family.
The Vuolos admitted they’d be staying in Los Angeles for the short term while Jeremy pursued graduate studies at The Master’s Seminary. But that certainly doesn’t explain how they’re affording their swanky new home.
Jinger Duggar’s rent just went up — by a lot
Everything is more expensive in California. According to Radar Online, the home where Jinger and Jeremy Vuolo are currently staying costs a whopping $685,000, which means monthly rent is estimated around $4,000 per month. The property features fruit trees, modern furnishings, and extensive remodeling.
Any native Californian will tell you this is typical for San Fernando Valley pricing. But it still doesn’t answer the very important question — if Jinger Duggar is a stay at home mom and Jeremy Vuolo is a full-time student, where exactly are they getting the money to afford such a posh place to live?
Duggar kids are taught financial responsibility
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are very open about how they manage their money and avoid debt, and even offer courses for people to learn how to achieve financial freedom just like they did. Jim Bob owns several investment properties in his native Arkansas and boasts a net worth of around $3.5 million.
These are all values he’s also instilled in his children. The Duggar kids seem financially sound, living in modest homes and usually existing on a single income since none of the women hold full-time employment outside the home.
Jinger Duggar is making some money of her own
There’s simply no way for us to know how much money Jinger and Jeremy saved over the years that would allow them to afford such high rent prices. There’s also the possibility that part of their housing cost is being subsidized by some other source.
One thing we do know? Both Jinger and Jeremy both joined the website Cameo, which allows fans to purchase personalized shoutouts from celebrities for a fee. Jinger’s welcome video says, “Hey, guys! Jinger Vuolo here. I’m so happy to be on Cameo and I would love to do any shout outs for your friends, family, coworkers for birthdays, anniversaries, whatever it may be. So hit me up in the messages!”
For now, Jinger’s fee is $60 per message while Jeremy’s is $40 per message. They’ll have to do a whole lot of shoutouts to make rent every month, but it seems like a worthwhile way to make a little extra money!
