‘Counting On’ Fans Are Loving Jinger Duggar’s Recipes Way More Than Jill Duggar’s
From their strict household rules to their odd courtship rituals, the Duggars are well-known for being one of the most talked-about families on reality TV. And there a few of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar’s kids who get more fan love than others. Jinger Duggar, the daughter who’s known as being the “rebellious” child for her choice to move out to Los Angeles with her husband and daughter, is still loved by Counting On fans. And Jill Duggar also has a strong following on social media — though many choose to mock her, especially since her husband’s Twitter activity got her removed from the show.
Aside from Jill’s controversial husband, Derick Dillard, she’s also known for something else: her family recipes. It seems fans are loving what Jinger’s cooking up way more than what Jill has to offer. Here’s what they’re saying.
Jinger Duggar posted one of her healthy recipes to Instagram
We see plenty of Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, on Counting On, but she still has a serious Instagram following. And her latest move to California has every Duggar fan watching her journey as she leaves the homes she knew in both Arkansas and Texas behind. Overall, it seems like Jinger’s doing very well — and many have commented on how she looks healthier and more beautiful than ever. And it seems her daily eating habits are contributing to her wellness.
“So many of you ask me what I eat on a daily basis. I want to periodically share some of my all-time favorite meals & recipes! So….here we go,” she captioned the post of her Monday meal that involved kale, mushrooms, and eggs. And considering the Duggars famously had plenty of meals from canned foods growing up, fans are seriously impressed with this healthy take. “Does not look like a Duggar recipe,” one fan commented. And another wrote, “So glad she’s finally able to eat healthy.”
Fans tend to hate on Jill’s recipes
It looks like we may be seeing more recipes from Jinger, but we can’t forget that Jill is the one Duggar who posts her meals the most often. On her Dillard Family blog, she has an entire section dedicated to her favorite family recipes. And she also posts them to her Instagram to share with her followers.
While Jill does seem to incorporate some fresh foods into her meals, her followers don’t have too many nice things to say about most of her recipes. The star infamously uses plenty of canned goods to make her meals — and the photos to accompany them usually aren’t too appealing, either.
OK! Magazine notes one follower commented on Jill’s Easy Slow Cooker Creamy Chicken & Tortillas with, “Jill, I love you but these processed ‘quick, easy, inexpensive’ recipes are antiquated and unhealthy. You can use real food with the same results. Please!” And on Jill’s post for Chicken on the Ritz, another follower commented, “But all you do is push sponsors and post the most god awful unhealthy food that you are encouraging others to cook. I have never seen a single ‘recipie’ from your family concoctions with a fresh vegetable [sic].”
Fans are way more approving of Jinger’s cooking than Jill’s
From the looks of it, fans are quite excited to see more of what Jinger’s cooking up in California. And she’s even started adding more of her healthy food choices to her Instagram Story, too. “Love this!! Keeping posting more, please & thank you!” one of her followers commented on her kale and egg dish. And while Jill does have the support of some for her dishes, the general consensus is that her meals that involve plenty of canned food and heavy cream are a definite no-no.
Does Jinger just get more love from her followers in general than Jill, or is it really the recipes that spawn hate on Jill’s Instagram? We’re not so sure — though it does seem like Jill may be incorporating more fresh foods into her latest concoctions, which fans will surely be happy about (her homemade guacamole looks like a step in the right direction). Perhaps Jill can swap some of her tried-and-true favorites with some of Jinger’s daily recipes, too.
