‘Counting On’ Fans Have a Shocking Theory About Why Jill Duggar’s Husband is In Law School

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard might not be the stars of Counting On anymore, but they still have a huge fan base. Duggar has 1.6 million Instagram followers, and the two seem to keep people entertained on social media. Duggar and Dillard left ‘Counting On’ in 2017

When 19 Kids and Counting ended, Duggar and Dillard became the stars of TLC’s spinoff show, Counting On. The couple, alongside Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald, were the main focus of the new television show. But over time, more Duggars started to get married and have families of their own. And in 2017, Duggar and Dillard abruptly left the network. They reportedly had a falling out with TLC after Dillard published controversial tweets about other TLC stars, though he and Duggar insist they left the show on their own terms. The actual reason for their departure is still unclear.

The two seem to be at odds with Duggar’s family

Ever since Duggar and Dillard left the show, fans have noticed the two don’t seem to be as close with her family as they once were. The Dillards are hardly at Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar’s home, and the Dillard kids don’t appear to have much of a relationship with the Seewald kids. There has been speculation that it had something to do with Duggar and Dillard leaving the show, and Dillard once posted a tweet insinuating that Jim Bob doesn’t fairly pay his kids for filming. However, nobody has ever confirmed if there is actually a rift in the family.

Some think Dillard is attending law school to sue Jim Bob

Dillard has been enrolled in law school for quite a while now; he was previously an accountant but decided to pursue a new career path. And some Reddit users theorize that he might be getting his law degree to sue his father in law. “Is he going to law school with the explicit intention of suing [the Duggars]?” the original poster speculated. Some replies were in agreement.  “If you told me that… He decided to go to law school to sue [the Duggars] on his own, I would believe you,” one Reddit user commented. “He probably dreams of suing TLC,” someone else suggested.

Others, though, felt like Dillard was going to law school for another reason. “It’s probably for political reasons or freedom of religion suits,” someone wrote. Several others agreed with that theory as well, but many thought it would be interesting to see if he uses his degree to bring a suit against his father in law.

Duggar said they have no plans to return to the show

Those who love the Dillards have always wanted them to make a Counting On comeback. However, Duggar cleared the air on a recent Instagram photo; she answered a comment and explained the two don’t plan to return to the show. “It just all got to be too much for our little family, so we decided to step away from it all a couple years ago before the birth of our second child,” Duggar said. Not everyone believed her reasoning, but she also clarified in the comments that the two were not fired. Now, it looks like they’re focusing on parenthood and law school. Time will tell what Dillard’s true intentions are once he receives his degree.
