‘Counting On’: Amid Feud Reports, Jill Duggar Has 1 Surprising Family Member On Her Side

For a while, fans have been suspicious that Jill Duggar doesn’t have a strong relationship with her family. Though she was present for the birth of Jessa Duggar’s third child and helped her through the process, Jill hardly spends any time with her family, according to social media. She didn’t spend Thanksgiving with them, nor did she attend family night, and her sons never seem to see their cousins. But there is one surprising Duggar who seems to still have a strong connection with Jill.

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard left ‘Counting On’ in 2017

When 19 Kids and Counting turned into Counting On, Jill and Jessa were the stars. The show focused mainly on Jill and Jessa’s new lives now that they were both married and starting families. But in 2017, Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard, left the show. It was largely assumed that it had to do with Derick’s controversial tweets, but the two have since denied that they were fired and have hinted that their departure actually had to do with Jim Bob Duggar. Now, Counting On focuses on the several Duggar kids who have grown up and started families of their own, including Jinger, Joseph, and Josiah Duggar.

Jill and her family members appear to have grown apart

Since Jill left the show, she doesn’t seem to have the same relationship with her family that she once did. The Duggars love social media, but Jill seems distant from her family on the app. She never posts photos spending time with any family members, and recently, she didn’t attend the family’s Thanksgiving or family night. Jessa and Jill’s kids hardly ever seem to spend time together, and now that Jill isn’t on the show, she misses out on any events that are filmed.

It seems that Jill is still very close with her cousin, Amy Duggar

Though Jill seems to have a distant relationship with her immediate family, there is one surprising family member she appears to have remained close with: Her cousin, Amy Duggar. Amy often comments on Jill’s Instagram posts, and Jill was one of the first family members to meet Amy’s new baby this past fall. Jill tends to support Amy’s clothing line more than her siblings do, too, though it doesn’t look like there is any bad blood between Amy and the rest of the family.

Fans are hoping Jill can rekindle the relationship she once had with her family

Fans have recently taken to social media to wish Jill the best with her family. When Jill posted a photo of her sons having a playdate with friends, fans noticed that she wasn’t spending much time with Jessa and her kids. “I hope everyone is getting along,” one user commented, referencing Jill and her family. Jill did help Jessa through the birth of her third child, but it seems like the two women simply don’t have the same relationship they once did. However, it appears Jill does have a lifelong friendship in her cousin Amy.
