‘Counting On’: Jill Duggar Just Hopped into Jessa’s Instagram Comments to Give Some Advice About Snacking

We’re constantly getting new Duggar content on Instagram thanks to many of Jim Bob and Michelle’s kids starting up their own social media accounts. From Jinger Duggar’s move to Los Angeles to Joy-Anna Duggar’s home renovations, all of the details are on the ‘gram for the world to see. And while Jessa doesn’t post to social media as much as some of her family members do, she’s still a fan favorite with a serious following. Everyone adores seeing what she and her husband, Ben Seewald, along with their three kids are up to next.

Jessa loves giving parenting advice and ideas to her followers. And it looks like Jill Duggar, one of the more controversial members of the family, is hopping into one of Jessa’s posts with her own advice, too. Here’s what Jessa wrote and what Jill added in.

Jessa Duggar just gave some advice for parents of picky eaters

She may not post as often as her siblings with Instagrams, but Jessa’s page is full of adorable photos of her three kids and, of course, her husband, who fans also love. We’re used to Jessa providing helpful parenting tips for her followers, too. And a recent one involving cooking and developing healthy eating habits in kids got a lot of attention.

“Picky eaters? Things were getting a bit rough, so we’ve been making some reforms in the Seewald household,” she captioned her post of her 2-year-old son, Henry, cracking eggs for breakfast. “We’ve had lots of helpful tips and advice shared with us for retraining appetites and getting kiddos to branch out and try new foods. I know we can’t be the only ones struggling with this, so I just made a little video describing some things we’ve been learning and implementing.”

Jessa’s followers adored the video, too. And Anna Duggar, Josh’s wife, also added a comment. “Way to go Jessa! Love the way you made their dinner a smiley face,” she wrote.

Jill Duggar is constantly getting slammed for her recipes

While Jessa gets a ton of praise for her Instagram posts, Jill seems to get the opposite. From backlash over her posts about her own two kids to snide remarks regarding her marriage to Derick Dillard, Jill is no stranger to negative commentary. And it’s also her family recipes that seem to get her in trouble with her followers.

The Duggars grew up with a lot of canned food due to budget restrictions and having such a large family. While Jill insists on posting many of her favorite family recipes to her Instagram and blog, her followers think she should give them up completely, as the dishes are often made with canned goods and they look totally unappetizing.

“Im sorry but none of these recipes look appetizing,” one of her followers commented on her Instagram post promoting her broccoli rabe casserole recipe.

“It sounds vile,” another simply wrote.

Jill gave some additional advice on Jessa’s post

Despite the backlash Jill receives on her own cooking, she’s unafraid to provide some food advice on Jessa’s post.

“Love the video! Yes, keep introducing foods and even if they used to not like it, they may surprise you and love it later!” Jill commented. “Also, noticed that keeping healthier snacks visible will make them ask for those snacks more (somewhat ‘outta sight outta mind’).”

Some of Jessa’s followers appreciated what Jill had to say, but not everyone did.

As one follower wrote, “@jillmdillard looks like Jessa has it figured out with less processed ingredients.”

Another added, “@jillmdillard shut up. Always think you know it all.”

We’re sure Jill will shrug off any negative comments she receives, as she’s always able to do so. And we anticipate seeing plenty more Duggar interactions on Instagram in the future, whether they’re about food or not!
