‘Counting On’: Jinger Duggar’s Recent Photo Proves Her Priorities Are Far Different From Her Siblings’

Jinger Duggar has arguably become the most modern member of the Duggar family. Ever since she married Jeremy Vuolo in 2016, she’s branched out from wearing denim skirts to becoming a borderline fashionista. Now, Duggar’s Instagram has taken on a new look — and her posts are becoming far different than her siblings’.

Duggar does things differently from the rest of her family

Duggar and Vuolo met back in 2016, when they were introduced by Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald. Although they didn’t meet through church the way most Duggars and their spouses do, it was definitely love at first sight. Vuolo asked Jim Bob Duggar if he could court Jinger, and from there, everything moved quickly. The two only officially courted for a month before Vuolo proposed. They wed in November 2016, and since then, Duggar’s life has become completely different. She moved far away from her family and started dressing more freely. She now wears shorts and tank tops; she even dyes her hair. And she’s picked up hobbies that don’t involve religion, such as watching soccer with her husband.

Her Instagram photos have less to do with religion these days

Duggar has taken a liking to Instagram, which seems to allow her a way to express herself. Growing up, she loved photography and was often involved in her siblings’ engagement photo shoots. Since marrying Vuolo, she has joined Instagram and started posting plenty of photos of her life to the app — but they hardly ever have to do with religion. Though all of the Duggars post photos of their daily lives, the captions occasionally include a Biblical quote or relate to God in some way. Duggar, however, hardly incorporates Christianity into her posts. They mostly have to do with her daughter and husband and the adventures their little family takes.

She appears to be trying to become even more of an influencer

Duggar’s recent Instagram post looked like something similar to what an influencer would ask the audience. She posted a photo of her playing with her hair (taken by a professional photographer), and thanked fans for the kind words about her hair color and style. Then, she asked her followers to tell her their best-kept hair secrets for keeping their locks looking great. “What is your favorite hair care routine?” she wrote in the caption.

When users pose questions in their captions, it’s often because they want to engage their audience — it’s something commonly done by influencers. As expected, Duggar received plenty of comments from users; it seems as though she’s crossing over from a public figure to a full-fledged influencer.

Despite their differences, Duggar still remains close with her family

Though Duggar has taken on a more modern life than her parents might have hoped, she still remains very close with them. On a recent episode of Counting On, Duggar’s mother expressed that she’s fine with her daughter having different beliefs than her (such as the belief that pants and shorts are allowed). Duggar also still seems to have a strong relationship with her sisters despite living life a bit differently than they do, and it looks like she couldn’t be happier with where her relationship with Vuolo has led her.
