‘Counting On’: Josh Duggar’s Wife, Anna, Just Told an Instagram Follower About Her ‘Intense’ Morning Sickness

Duggar fans are enthralled with the new season of Counting On, and we can’t wait to see what fan favorites like Jill, Jessa, and Jana Duggar are up to now. But we can’t forget that there are quite a few Duggar family members who are no longer featured on the show. Jill and her husband, Derick Dillard were removed from the TLC network due to Dillard’s transphobic tweets of the past. And Josh’s abuse scandals that rocked the family years ago continue to keep him and his wife, Anna, out of the Counting On spotlight, too.

Josh and Anna may rarely make appearances on the small screen, but Anna does her best to keep her followers up to date with her life through Instagram. And she even gave some seriously personal insight on her current pregnancy after a follower asked a question about morning sickness.

Anna Duggar is currently pregnant with her sixth child

The Duggars are known for foregoing birth control and having as many children as they believe God will allow them to have (thus why Michelle and Jim Bob have 19 kids of their own). And it seems their firstborn, Josh, and his wife, Anna, also believe this. Anna is currently pregnant with her sixth child. People reports she captioned her Instagram announcement, “We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a new little one! As we watch our children grow and thrive — we look forward to baby six joining us this fall! #littleduggars.”

The couple’s oldest child is 9 and the youngest is just 2. And while many questioned if Anna and Josh’s marriage would survive the past scandals of sexual abuse and infidelity on Josh’s part, Anna has also gotten candid about how she’s worked to “save” their marriage and “rebuild” their family.

“For nearly the last two years, we have quietly worked to save our marriage, focus on our children, and rebuild our lives together as a family. Doing so is never easy after a breach of trust. We’ve learned that a life of faith and rebuilding a life together is simply done one day at a time,” they wrote in a joint statement back in 2017.

Anna has talked about the ‘unpredictability’ of parenting before

From Duggar fan outrage to media backlash, a lot has fallen on to Anna’s shoulders over the years. Even so, she still stays honest with her followers and appears to enjoy relaying her thoughts and feelings about her marriage and parenting through Instagram. While the mother is certainly excited for baby No. 6, there’s no doubt she has concerns of her own as well. And PopCulture.com notes Anna’s also talked about the unpredictable nature of being a parent.

As the publication reports Anna wrote on Instagram, “When my first child was born, I guess I had lots of expectations for how things would be. Once she arrived, I quickly realized that babies don’t always play by the ‘rules’ and that unpredictability is what makes parenting such a unique responsibility.” She then added that even when you think you’ve got it all figured out as a parent, “things change” in unexpected ways.

She just got candid with one of her Instagram followers

After having five children, some may assume pregnancy would come easy for an expectant mother — but that doesn’t seem to be the case for Anna. She recently posted a few photos of her daughter, Meredith, holding Jessa’s baby, Ivy. “Meredith loves having a little girl (or as she says, ‘grill’ cousin) close to play with and she can’t wait till the November cousins & her little sister arrives!” Anna captioned the post. And in the comments, a fan asked, “Can i ask you a personal question? You have 5 kids and the 6t one on the way. Dont you have morning sickness while you’re pregnant? It looks so easy on you.”

To that, Anna gave some personal info about her own bouts of morning sickness. “Yes. Morning sickness usually starts around week 7 or 8 and is pretty intense 24/7 until around 20 weeks,” she answered. And fans praised her for being “strong” and a “warrior” for carrying on without complaint.

We’re excited for another Duggar baby to arrive — and we’re sure Anna will care for her future little one just as well as she cares for her other five!
