‘Counting On’: This Is Why Fans Think Jill Duggar is Feuding With Josiah Duggar

Counting On viewers have been quick to suggest that Jill Duggar might be feuding with her famous family. While Derick Dillard was busy calling out Jim Bob Duggar on Twitter over supposedly secret contracts with TLC, Jill was being a lot more subtle in the shade she was throwing. Actually, it’s not about what Jill said, but rather what she didn’t report on Instagram that has fans curious. The former reality TV star and mother of two didn’t congratulate her brother, Josiah Duggar, on the birth of his first child. But wait, Jill isn’t the only Duggar who let little Bella’s birth go unnoticed, and fans think it might have a little something to do with the new addition’s name. In fact, fans are accusing the couple of being insensitive because of the name they picked.

Are the Duggars feuding over Josiah and Lauren’s baby name?

Josiah and Lauren welcomed their first daughter, Bella Milagro, on Nov. 8. The birth went by without much commentary from the Duggar family, and some internet sleuths are wondering if the family is quietly fuming over the name Josiah and Lauren picked. The name might hit a little too close to home for Joy-Anna Duggar, and her family might be rallying around her.

Back in July, Joy-Anna Duggar and Autin Forsyth announced that they suffered the loss of their daughter five months into their pregnancy. In a heartbreaking post, the couple shared the name of their daughter. Annabell Elise was due in November, right around the time both Lauren and Kendra Caldwell gave birth to their daughters. Lauren who suffered a miscarriage last year claimed to be helping Joy-Anna work through her pain, but fans seem to think Lauren lacks the self-awareness to really understand what Joy-Anna is going through. The couple’s choice in baby names might prove just that.

Duggar naming conventions don’t leave a ton of wiggle room

While fans are questioning why the couple would choose a name so close to the name given to Joy-Anna’s stillborn daughter, there isn’t a ton of wiggle room for the Duggar family when it comes to names. After all, there are 19 children in the Duggar family, and they all seem to be excited about multiplying. Joshua and Anna Duggar are awaiting the birth of their sixth child, who is sure to have an M name.

Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald are the parents of three children, including a daughter who was born in May 2019. Joseph Duggar and Kendra are also multiplying rapidly. They just welcomed their second child, a daughter named Addison. With so many Duggar kids having babies, some overlap is to be expected. In fact, several of the Duggar kids have strikingly similar names. Joy-Anna and Johannah essentially have the same name if you say them fast.  Jedidiah, Jeremiah, and Josiah Duggar could all be confused for one another, too.

Was Lauren and Josiah’s pick a little insensitive?

Even if it’s hard to pick a truly unique name, fans believe Josiah and Lauren were incredibly insensitive to name their daughter Bella. After all, Joy-Anna’s grief is nowhere near over. In fact, the 21-year-old reality TV star has noted that she continues to grieve the loss and that some days are incredibly difficult for her. Looking at a niece whose name is desperately close to the name you gave your own lost child can’t possibly be comfortable.

It’s not the first time that fans have accused the couple of insensitivity, though. Recently Lauren claimed it took the couple “quite a while” to conceive their rainbow baby. Several followers have pointed out that Lauren became pregnant with her second child just a few months after her miscarriage, and that the pair has been married for less than two years. For those who struggle with infertility, the comment seemed a bit dramatic and insensitive.
