Counting On star Joy-Anna Duggar recently enjoyed a hunting expedition with her husband, Austin Forsyth. The outing happened while most of her family was in California visiting Jinger Duggar, sparking reports that Jim Bob Duggar may have disappointed by the snub. So what does Jim Bob Duggar really think about Joy-Anna’s latest adventure with Forsyth?

Inside Joy-Anna Duggar’s latest outing

With the rest of her family in Los Angeles with Jinger, Joy-Anna and Austin went shopping for some new camouflage apparel for their hunting trip.

Several of Joy-Anna’s siblings went along for the ride, including Jason, Justin, and James Duggar.

The Counting On star shared photos from the outing on social media, including some pics from their trip to Colorado, where they ventured out into the mountains in search of Elk.

“Y’all! I got to come with the guys this year on their Elk Hunting trip!” she wrote alongside the photos.

Joy-Anna Duggar added that the weather was freezing throughout the stay and that they all did a lot of hiking in the area.

Colorado, of course, has a special connection for the couple. According to Ok Magazine, the two enjoyed their honeymoon in the state and love returning to the mountains whenever they get the chance.

But while Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband were hiking it up in Colorado, the rest of her family was in Los Angeles reuniting with Jinger, who moved to the Golden State earlier this year.

Jinger and her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, moved to Los Angeles a few months back so that he could continue his education at a seminary school in the area.

What does Jim Bob Duggar think about Joy-Anna’s hunting trip?

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar looked happy visiting their daughter in California and even shared some photos of the trip on social media. While most of the Duggars made the trip, Joy-Anna was one of the few that was left behind. She may have had fun in Colorado, but she later admitted that she wished she could have made the trip out west.

“Y’all are so pretty!!  Sooo wish we could be there!!” Joy-Anna Duggar wrote alongside a family photo.

That said, Jinger has a history of preferring to spend time with her brothers rather than her sisters. This past summer, for example, she attended the Fort Rock Christian Family Camp and Christian Retreat Center with her brothers.

She even posted a photo from the event on social media, calling her brothers her best friends.

As far as Jim Bob is concerned, it is unclear what he thought of his daughter’s decision to skip the trip to California. TLC cameras were reportedly on hand throughout the visit, so we might learn more this season of Counting On.

In the meantime, this is hardly the first time Joy-Anna has gone against her father’s wishes.

Joy-Anna Duggar and Forsyth break courting rules

When they were still in the courting phase of their relationship, Joy-Anna Duggar and her husband broke a big family rule.

During one of their home renovations, the two were caught getting a little handsy while using a power saw. In a clip from Counting On, Forsyth clearly touched his future wife’s hand while she worked on the saw.

This type of behavior is very normal for most couples, but any type of physical contact is a major no-no for the Duggars. In fact, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are very strict when it comes to courting and don’t even allow their children to go on unchaperoned dates.

They also do not allow front hugs, though the Duggar children can enjoy some side-hug action every once in a while.

Fortunately for the couple, their brief moment of hand holding wasn’t as bad as a hug, but it wasn’t the only controversy they faced before marriage.

When the two tied the knot, rumors surfaced that they rushed down the aisle because Joy-Anna found out that she was pregnant. Inside sources claim this is why they moved up the wedding date and that they hoped fans would not notice.

The Duggars have never discussed the shotgun wedding rumors. Joy-Anna Duggar gave birth to her first child with Forsyth roughly nine months after exchanging vows.
