The Duggars have been on our television screens for years. And while that means that we have learned a lot about the family, there is one thing that the conservative crew doesn’t usually talk about. And that’s how much money they make.
When the show started, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar had to be making a considerable about of money to support their children. You can’t have 19 kids without a healthy bank account. But since their television show, spin-offs, and sponsorship deals, it’s safe to say that the family’s funds have significantly increased.
But all of the Duggars are not equally popular. So which one has the highest net worth?
Joshua
Josh Duggar has had the most scandals connected to him of any Duggar. The family’s show even got canceled when it came out that Josh had molested several kids when he was a teenager, a couple of them being his siblings. Since then, TLC has refused to work with Josh.
Despite not being on television anymore, he still has a net worth of $200,000.
Joseph and Kendra Caldwell
As one of the youngest siblings, Joseph and his wife, Kendra Caldwell’s net worths are unknown. He is currently earning money by working with his dad in real estate. He also got his CDL license so he could drive trucks for money as well.
Jana Duggar is one of the children who stays out of the limelight as much as possible. She is unmarried and spends her time helping raise her younger siblings. She is currently worth $400,000.
Jill Duggar Dillard and her husband Derick landed a spin-off show along with Jill’s sister Jessa, Jill & Jessa: Counting On. Some sources say that the couple’s net worth is around $400,000.
Jessa Duggar and Ben Seewald have the same net worth as their CountingOn costars, $400,000. Neither of them works normal day jobs and instead, the couple lives off the money from their reality show and sponsorships.
John David has had notably fewer scandals than his brother Josh and because of that has a considerably higher net worth. After 19 Kids and Counting went under, John David was still able to appear on the spin-off Jill & Jessa: Counting On.
Their $2 million net worth is largely made up of her husband’s money from his career as a professional soccer player. Jinger has also made money from the television show, as well as co-authoring some of the Duggar books.
Jim Bob and Michelle
Jim Bob and his wife Michelle claim that they were already debt-free before they even landed 19 Kids and Counting.
Though exact figures haven’t been released on how much they made from the show, according to E! News, reality producer Terence Michael has some guesses. He estimated that TLC budgeted around $250,000 to $400,000 for each episode of the series. Reality TV families typically earn 10% of the per-episode budget, which would mean that the Duggars were making between $25,000 and $40,000 per episode of the show.
