Courtney Cox is Twinning with This Actress in An Instagram Post
Former Friends star Courtney Cox is celebrating the NBC’s sitcom’s 25th anniversary this month. She was recently spotted with another famous female and photographed together in a pic posted to Instagram, with many fans wondering who’s who.
Courtney Cox and Demi Moore had their photo taken together on September 19, which prompted Moore to post it to her Instagram account. Both wearing similar outfits, with Cox in a black top and pants and Moore in a black turtleneck with overalls, the actresses were also both sporting glasses which made the two even harder to differentiate from each other. Moore captioned the post, “Who’s who.” Cox replied to the post commenting, “Haha! I’ll have to send you a pic that I was even confused by 💕”
According to Today.com, fans were doing a double take. “Twinsies,” one follower commented. “Are you relatives?” another follower asked. Moore’s daughter Rumer posted, “This is adorable.”
The resemblance runs in the family
Comments have been made in the past on the Moore/Cox resemblance. Last year, Cox’s ex-husband David Arquette posted a pic of their daughter Coco on her first day of high school. Followers remarked that the high schooler was somewhat of a clone to Moore in her youth.
“Your girl looks like a young Demi Moore,” one person commented. “You two cloned Demi Moore with your kiddo,” another wrote.
Achievements to celebrate
Both actresses currently have something momentous to celebrate. This month, the iconic NBC series Friends marked its 25th anniversary since its launch. Cox, who played the role of Monica since the show’s premiere, posted a throwback pic on Instagram to celebrate the quarter-century milestone.
“Celebrating a Thursday night 25 years ago. Thank you to all of our loyal fans across the world. You’ve certainly been there for us! I love these guys! @_schwim_ @lisakudrow @mleblanc #seriouslyjen? #youtoomathew #friends.”
Also this month, Moore is launching her highly anticipated memoir, “Inside Out.” The book chronicles her life from childhood through her journey to and through stardom, including details on her marriages to Bruce Willis and Ashton Kutcher. The actress, who has starred in a slew of box office blockbusters including A Few Good Men, Ghost, Indecent Proposal, and St. Elmo’s Fire, also discusses her issues with alcohol and substance abuse over the years.
“It’s exciting, and yet I feel very vulnerable,” Moore told The New York Times. “There is no cover of a character. It’s not somebody else’s interpretation of me. I had to figure out why to do this, because my own success didn’t drive me. It’s more of an awakening than a comeback.”
Moore also reveals she went through a period of estrangement with her three daughters – Rumer, 31, Scout, 28, and Tallulah, 25 – due to her destructive behavior. She has since reconciled with her children, giving them permission to review her manuscript and even request edits, which none of them did. The subject matter of the actress’s memoir brought some difficult memories to the surface for her kids.
“It’s challenging because she’s making this amazing effort to put out the most vulnerable moments of her life,” Scout said, according to The New York Times. “It just happens that it also coincides with some of the most challenging and traumatic times of mine.”
Moore’s book goes on sale on September 24.
