When does ‘Criminal Minds’ season 15 premiere?

Season 15 of Criminal Minds premieres on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at 9 p.m. E.S.T. with a two-hour premiere. It’s going to be an epic event considering there are only 10 episodes in the final season. The premiere will feature two episodes, so fans should prepare for a huge night.

‘Criminal Minds’ has a new teaser trailer

The teaser starts with ominous music and foreboding information. “Whoever we’re dealing with is still clearly on the hunt,” Emily Prentiss (Paget Brewster) says as she comes into view with Dr. Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler).

“He has no true identity,” David Rossi (Joe Mantegna) says.

“Why haven’t you told anyone about this?” Luke Alvez (Adam Rodriguez) says as he is seen opening a box with what appears to be a bomb inside of it. We later see a cut to a house exploding.

Another scene shows Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) asking Jennifer “JJ” Jareau (A.J. Cook) what her location is. JJ is shown being thrown to the ground reaching for her gun which seems out of range. She’s clearly hurt and is in need of assistance, but will it arrive in time?

According to TV Insider, the premiere will start with the BAU agents tracking down a serial killer. The premiere will feature an unsub resembling The Chameleon, or Everett Lynch (Michael Mosley).

The second episode will mean trouble for a member of the Behavioral Analysis Unit. Someone will end up in the hospital. Based on the new teaser footage though, that could be multiple BAU members. The others will search for Lynch and his daughter Grace (Alex Jennings).

There will also be some good moments for Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler). He will get to visit with his mother Diana (Jane Lynch), and we can only hope it will be good for them both. She will be lucid during the encounter, so things could play out alright for the troubled mother and son.

Reid seems concerned about JJ in the teaser trailer

Numerous fans are anxious about what’s going to happen between Reid and JJ. They definitely have some unfinished business together, but based on the new teaser, they are still working together without issues.

Reid tries to check in with JJ and something apparently happens with her. Fans are understandably concerned for JJ, but they also want to know what’s going to happen now that she revealed she loved him in the season 14 finale. Will they continue on as they were or will they address the situation further?

Fans don’t have much longer to wait to find out the truth. Hopefully, the Reid and JJ drama will be addressed right away. Fans have been waiting a long time for the final season of Criminal Minds and they need answers even more now after watching the new teaser for season 15.
