Fans were heartbroken to find out Tyra Banks is replacing Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews. The former hosts said goodbye to fans on Twitter.

“Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me. It’s been an incredible 15-year run and the most unexpected gift of my career. I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made. That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?” Bergeron tweeted on July 13.

Andrews also shared her reaction on Twitter. “Thank you ABC and the entire Dancing with the Stars family for six memorable seasons. Those years wouldn’t have been as special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges. I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn’t the best at walking in heels,” she wrote.

Many professional dancers are returning

We might be losing some very familiar faces. But we are gaining many more when it comes to the cast.

Jenna Johnson, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Emma Slater, Pasha Pashkov, Artem Chigvintsev, Brandon Armstrong, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Gleb Savchenko, and Alan Bersten are some of the professional dancers this season.

Daniella Karagach is also a new professional dancer. She was previously on World of Dance Season 2. There is also another new professional and she is making history.

Britt Stewart is the first Black female pro on the show

Stewart is a new professional on the show and is the first Black woman to fill the role. She posted a picture making the announcement on Instagram.

“It’s actually happening!!! I am over the moon to be a first time PRO on Season 29 of @dancingabc My heart is filled with gratitude to have been given this opportunity. I can hardly contain my excitement to step into this new position,” reads the caption.

She has previously danced with Janet Jackson. Stewart is also not new to Dancing with the Stars. She previously was in bigger group dances and performed in the tour. Stewart seems to be good friends with Bersten.

This season will be a tough one to beat not just for the celebrities. Burke and Chmerkovskiy won twice in the past and they’re back after a break. Bersten is also returning hot off his last season win. Season 29 premieres on Sept. 14 on ABC at 8 p.m. EST.
