Dancing with the Stars might look a little different this year. In July 2020, ABC announced co-hosts Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews will be replaced by America’s Next Top Model star Tyra Banks

“Just informed @DancingABC will be continuing without me,” Bergeron wrote on Twitter. “It’s been an incredible 15-year run and the most unexpected gift of my career.  I’m grateful for that and for the lifelong friendships made.  That said, now what am I supposed to do with all of these glitter masks?”

Then Andrews wrote on Instagram, “Thank you ABC and the entire Dancing with the Stars family for 6 memorable seasons. Those years wouldn’t have been as special without my loving host Tom Bergeron, the talented dancers, and witty judges. I will always cherish my days on that set, even if I wasn’t the best at walking in heels.”

Meanwhile, Banks expressed her excitement during an interview with Good Morning America

“I am excited about hosting and executive producing,” Banks said. “Getting in there, live TV. You never know what happens on live TV.”

When ABC announced Bergeron and Andrews would be leaving DWTS, fans wondered what would happen with judges Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli. But for now, it appears the lineup will remain the same.

“As of now, that is the plan [to come back],” Inaba told TVLine in July. “I just want everybody to know, Len, Bruno and I — that is the plan that we’re coming back.”

Meanwhile, the network confirmed the cast of professional dancers for the 2020 season of DWTS. The list includes Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten, Sharna Burgess, Cheryl Burke, Val Chmerkovskiy, Sasha Farber, Jenna Johnson, Daniella Karagach, Keo Motsepe, Peta Murgatroyd, Pasha Pashkov, Gleb Savchenko, Emma Slater, and Britt Stewart.

That said, the full cast list of celebrity dancers has yet to be released and more details will be announced closer to the premiere. Though The Bachelorette Season 11 star Kaitlyn Bristowe joined the cast back in June 2020, and the reality star has been preparing for her new journey ever since.

“I’m extremely proud of myself for working so hard over the last 14 weeks,” Bristowe told a fan on Instagram.
