Did 50 Cent Delete His Own Instagram?
Although he first stepped onto the scene as a rapper in the early 2000s, 50 Cent has made quite the name for himself in other areas of business and entertainment. He’s not releasing music as much as he once was, but the New York native is still very much in the limelight. He is a star, director, and executive producer of the acclaimed Starz series Power.
The “21 Questions” rapper has also become notorious for his internet trolling. It seems like no one can escape his wrath these days.
In recent years, 50 Cent has antagonized everyone from reality starlet Teairra Marí to boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. However, up until recently, he’s kept his distasteful behavior away from his Power castmates.
50 Cent recently began trying to humiliate Power star Naturi Naughton for no apparent reason. Although he initially apologized for his comments, he doubled down on them before vanishing from Instagram altogether.
50 Cent attacks Naturi Naughton
Naughton has played Tasha St. Patrick on Power since season 1. The New Jersey native is talented, warm, and bubbly and has apparently always gotten along with 50 Cent and the rest of her co-stars. Therefore, it was surprising when 50 Cent used a rude meme of Naughton to promote Power.
The meme made fun of Naughton’s alleged sparse edges. When Naughton called 50 Cent out for being mean, he was apologetic. He said, “I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings.” Although everyone seemingly moved on from the incident, the rapper popped up on Nov. 13 with a new meme of the actress saying, “Who the f*ck did this, POWER is #1.”
Naturi Naughton clapped back at 50 Cent
Once again, Naughton’s hair was the talk of the town. Because 50 Cent is technically her boss, this harassment is almost certainly creating a hostile work environment.
In response to the second meme, the 3LW alum said, “There’s so much I wanna say but…You don’t have an Instagram account so why waste my characters or come out of my CHARACTER. Did we have a fight and I not know about it?”
Did 50 Cent delete his Instagram?
50 Cent loves to troll on Instagram, so it seemed odd that he would attack Naughton and then vanish shortly after that. Many Power fans speculated that the social platform disabled his account because of abuse. However, the rapper has come forward, claiming that’s not the case.
Apparently, he deactivated his own account. He tweeted, “LOL Im cool with all these false report if you don’t know why something happens you can’t just make some shit up. smh I turned my own IG page off SUCKERS.”
He then went on to tweet: “I like twitter better then IG right now follow me over here.”
In his Twitter comments, 50 Cent also claimed to be sticking up for Naughton with his memes that most people would see as bullying. Perhaps Instagram’s new code of conduct will keep him off the platform for good.
