Did Donald Trump Just Admit That Barron Is Not His Son?
President Donald Trump has been the topic of many conversations since he first announced that he was running for president. The fact that he had no political experience was one of the biggest problems that people had with him throwing his hat in the presidential race.
On top of that, in the past, former presidents have had to fit a certain archetype in order to be taken seriously. They had to be married and have a seemingly picture-perfect family life with no past indiscretions to have a real chance at the presidency.
The current president did not fit into that mold at all. He is on his third marriage and has five children by three different women.
As if that wasn’t risque enough, a recent interview has led people to believe that he might not even be the father of his youngest son, Barron.
Why don’t people believe that Barron is Donald Trump’s son?
Yesterday, the Trump administration released their plans to ban flavored E-cigarettes after a string of deaths were linked to the devices. During the president’s speech, he made a comment that left people very confused.
“Vaping has become a very big business, as I understand it,” he said. “Like, a giant business in a very short period of time. But we can’t allow people to get sick and we can’t have our youth be affected. And I’m hearing it — and that’s how the first lady got involved. She’s got a son…”
Barron is supposedly the son of both Melania and the president, but from his wording, it sounds like Barron is only Melania’s.
The internet’s reaction
People were quick to jump on social media to give their opinions on the topic.
“Darth Vader got his arms and legs chopped off, got melted by lava, suffered from chronic emphysema, and he still remembered he was Luke’s father,” one person tweeted. “Donald Trump has one failed presidency, and he has no idea who Barron is.”
“Trump on his son, as the White House transcript puts it: “And that’s how the First Lady got involved. I mean, she’s got a son — together — that is a beautiful, young man, and she feels very, very strongly about it. She’s seen it,” another user wrote.
Some people proposed that maybe the president was suffering from dementia.
“I think this comment comes from the phase of dementia he’s going through right now,” one person said. “He’s losing his attachments because he can’t remember who they are to him anymore. Not only does he not remember who Barron is to him anymore, but he has no feelings of attachment toward him.”
His comments even made some people go back through his tweets to see how much the president has ever talked about the 13-year-old.
“@realdonaldtrump has tweeted about Barron, Melania’s son, exactly four times,” one person found. “The last time was in July 2017… to make a ‘no collusion’ joke. No birthday wishes. No back-to-school encouragement. No holiday love. Nothing to show he has any actual feelings for him.”
And others were just ready to see commander-in-chief talk more about Barron on camera.
“I will pay a bounty of $1,000 to the first reporter to ask Trump on air how old Barron is,” one person offered.
