Before becoming a TV sensation, Dr. Sandra Lee started out on the internet, where her pimple extraction videos became a hit with curious followers all over the world. She began posting on Instagram before moving to YouTube to further monetize her work. It was estimated that at some point Dr. Lee was able to earn thousands of dollars a month from her videos.

The success of her YouTube channel paved the way for a television series. In July 2018, Dr. Pimple Popper premiered on TLC and quickly climbed to the top of ratings charts. Throughout its first and second season, the show consecutively ranked at number one among women ages 25 to 54.

The final episode of season 2 in March 2019 saw an all-time high viewership and TLC became the number one channel on Thursday nights for women across the country.

Will there be a third season of ‘Dr. Pimple Popper’?

Although TLC had not yet shared information about the renewal of Dr. Pimple Popper, given the popularity of the show, it’s hard to see why there would not be a third season.

In fact, Howard Lee, the President and General Manager of TLC shared how happy the people at TLC were at the impressive ratings that the series got. “Wrapping this run of Dr. Pimple Popper on a ratings high is so exciting for everyone here at TLC,” he said. “Our viewers are drawn to the ‘pop’ but stay for the stories of Dr. Lee transforming lives. It’s rewarding to see our audience grow and is a testament to how fun, engaging and popular Dr. Lee and this series is for our fans.”

Since Dr. Lee and her dermatology practice has been a huge hit, we think it’s only a matter of time before Dr. Pimple Popper returns to the small screen.

What else has Dr. Lee been working on?

While waiting for the third season of Dr. Pimple Popper, fans of Dr. Sandra Lee can enjoy a variety of things the dermatologist has to offer.

Her pimple-popping work is only a click away on social media. If you have not seen it yet, there is an online spin-off of the TLC show on Facebook called Dr. Pimple Popper: This Is Zit. The episodes here are shorter than those in the TV series, but there are three seasons of cyst-popping fun for everyone to enjoy.

Dr. Lee also still has a very updated YouTube channel and Instagram page with tons of videos featuring acne, lipoma, and more.

Additionally, for those who would like to take care of their skin at home, Dr. Lee has a line of skincare products called SLMD Skincare with lotions, moisturizers, cleansers, and acne cream. SLMD Skincare’s website states that these products are made “with the same effective ingredients that our founder, Dr. Sandra Lee, would prescribe to her patients.”

And finally, with Dr. Lee’s expertise being sought out by many people, she has also published a book called Put Your Best Face Forward: The Ultimate Guide to Skincare from Acne to Anti-Aging. In it, she provides tips and techniques for folks of all ages on how to best take care of one’s skin.
