Did James Kennedy’s Recent Twitter Meltdown Make Him the Villain on ‘Vanderpump Rules?’
In what seemed to be a completely unprovoked attack, James Kennedy from Vanderpump Rules lashed out at cast members on Twitter. He launched mean-spirited tweets toward cast members Jax Taylor, Brittany Cartright, and Katie Maloney-Schwartz. But claimed he was hacked and eventually apologized.
But cast members weren’t buying any of it. Especially after he deleted all the angry tweets. However, cast members and fans took screenshots of the tweets and reacted to Kennedy’s meltdown. So what did Kennedy write and how did cast members react? And does this latest string of attacks position Kennedy to be the villain of the show?
It started with this bomb
A fan took a screenshot of a now deleted tweet Kennedy wrote about Taylor. “And Jax?? He is just a sad man after his daddy died. Coming for me cause I’m the only man he don’t like–brother make peace with your dead father so you can be set free. That goes for Lala also. BTW he made fun of George when he left.” The singer George Michael, who died two years ago, was a close friend of the Kennedy family.
Taylor responded, “Sad human being, I told you he’s his own worst enemy. I feel bad for the little boy/child. He’s basically telling you all what kind of person he is.”
He also went for Cartright
Cartright was clearly upset about Kennedy’s tweet. She commented, “The disgust continues. @itsjameskennedy I pray YOU will find peace some day.” And remained positive, “I don’t want anything bad for James, I hope that he can figure life out some day but this…. I 100% agree with.”
But Kennedy couldn’t resist. In a deleted tweet he wrote, “Jax is the disgust. That lives in most people’s screens and babe you’re engaged to it. #goodluck #greatfirstwife.” Taylor posted the screen shot with the comment, “Wow…. just wow.”
And insulted this cast member too
In the same string, Kennedy added, “Katie Maloney is one disgusting human. Basically making up stories about me to gain, gain, gain. If that’s all she does – her marriage won’t last and neither will she after #pumprules.” Maloney did not respond to the tweet. However, Taylor remained engaged with the exchange. “Wow.. again with insulting women,” he wrote. “After he just apologized. You are a joke my friend. You must seriously hate who are as a person.”
Kennedy tries to back peddle
At one point, Kennedy claims he was actually hacked. In another deleted tweet, Kennedy wrote, “Damn! Hacked! I just changed my password that should do it! Sorry guys you know how positive I am sending love to everyone today.” Although Taylor was not buying it and wrote, “Nope, we just found out that bravo made him remove it, he wasn’t hacked.”
Then Kennedy apologizes. “Hey I’m sorry for what I said about Jax and Lala and I apologize deeply to them and anyone I offended. I hope you guys also stop provoking me, thank you and I wish everyone a happy new year.” But the apology was a little too late for Taylor. “Keep your fake ass apology homie, I know bravo made you do this we aren’t idiots, know your role in life and keep your mouth shut. You will always be on the bottom of the totem pole in life until you figure your sh*t out. You’re a sad miserable human being I feel bad for you.”
And fans point out Kennedy took over as show villain
Taylor may be somewhat relieved. For quite a few seasons he was the focus of several cast members’ ire. Even last season, when he cheated on Cartright, he was somewhat of an odd man out, especially with the ladies. But now that he seems to have cleaned up his act, Kennedy seems more than happy to take on that role after the latest tweetstorm. “Don’t forget your man was James a year ago,” one fan tweeted to Cartwright. “So happy he’s seemingly changed but that doesn’t mean he actually has. Stay positive but don’t be dumb with comparison and bragging.”
Another follower wrote, “100% right. Jax saw his flaws and worked on it and changed James doesnt see his flaws and keeps on doing it. You can absoulutely not compare the 2. Plus jax did go to therapy for help before, and James keeps getting worse.”
