Did Jennifer Aniston’s Famous Marriage to Brad Pitt Spoil Her Future Romantic Pursuits?

Jennifer Aniston has been dubbed “unlucky in love,” even though the Emmy winner doesn’t see herself that way. Ever since she split from Brad Pitt back in 2005, media outlets and fans have looked for signs that the Friends star was feeling lonely and heartbroken. Every breakup since the divorce heard around the world has been somehow linked to Aniston’s first husband, according to the media. Has Brad Pitt really contributed to the demise of Aniston’s other adventures in love?

Fresh off a breakup, Aniston dated her The Breakup Co-star

Shortly after parting ways with Brad Pitt, Aniston rebounded with the polar opposite of her former husband. During the filming of The Breakup, the Friends star sparked up a romance with funnyman, Vince Vaughn. The pair dated for a little over a year before calling it quits.

While rumors swirled that Vaughn had cheated on America’s sweetheart, he has vehemently denied the allegations. Vaughn did note that dating the high-profile actress had a pretty severe downside, but it had nothing to do with Aniston.

According to E, he told Playboy, “For me personally — and I think most well-known actors who are together feel this way — I never enjoyed the paparazzi side of it. You like someone and you’re spending time with them; that’s separate and that was all fine. But I really spent most of that time finding ways not to be drawn into the attention.”

The American public was obsessed with the romance, hoping that Aniston would get her happy ending, especially since her ex was publicly wining and dining the woman he left her for. Perhaps the world’s overinvestment in the relationship sent it into a tailspin.

The wild year of Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer

After another public breakup, Aniston found herself in the arms of a musician. With his star on the rise, John Mayer took to romancing Aniston. The “Gravity” singer had already developed a reputation as a womanizer, though. The two dated on and off for around a year, before calling it quits for good.

Mayer took to interviews to discuss the end of his romance with the Friends star, giving fans a hint as to what went wrong. Mayer noted that he “needed to be 32” when he spoke with Playboy shortly after the relationship ended. He also stated that their different approaches to technology drove a wedge between them.

Many fans think that Aniston is still “the one that got away” for Mayer, but Pitt didn’t seem to have any involvement in the couple’s uncoupling. At that point, Pitt was heavily entrenched in his romance with Jolie.

Jennifer Aniston’s marriage to Justin Theroux

Aniston and Justin Theroux met on the set of Wanderlust in 2010. While the pair denied that Aniston was the reason for Theroux’s split from his girlfriend of 14 years, Heidi Blevins, it seems evident that their romance was sparked on the set of the film.

Soon they were together all the time, and married in a surprise ceremony in 2015, according to Cosmopolitan. All seemed well until February 2018 when the couple announced their split. The world was heartbroken, but Aniston wasn’t.

Tabloid speculated that the split had something to do with Pitt’s suddenly single status, but there is no concrete evidence to back up the rumors. Pitt and Aniston seemingly maintained a healthy distance during the duration of their subsequent marriages.
