There aren’t many celebrity couples who’ve stayed committed to each other over the years, but Jessica Biel and Justin Timberlake have made it clear that things are rock-solid between them. Since 2007, the couple has been publicly showing off their love. And even though, like any marriage, they hit a few bumps in the road, fans of these two are confident they’ll stay together forever.

There is one question that lingers when it comes to Biel and Timberlake, however — and that’s if Timberlake was ever unfaithful to his long-time love. Here’s what’s been reported and what the couple has to say.

Timberlake and Biel met at a party over a decade ago

People reports in Timberlake’s book Hindsight: & All the Things I Can’t See in Front of Me, Timberlake reflects on how he first met Biel — and how he knew he wanted to pursue her immediately. They met at a party and were both dating other people when they first started going out, but Timberlake knew that Biel was the one for him. “When I met Jess, it was undeniable how beautiful she is,” he said. And their personalities also meshed perfectly. By 2007, they went public with their relationship.

Though Timberlake and Biel did break up at one point, by 2012, they were married. “That kind of commitment is very special, and we were ready to jump,” Biel told People. But their marriage hasn’t been rumor-free, of course.

Tabloids claimed Timberlake cheated on Biel with Olivia Munn

As with any longstanding Hollywood couple, rumors swirled — and in 2010, they surrounded Timberlake and actress Olivia Munn. Us Weekly claimed Timberlake had a “three-day fling” with Munn after he pursued her. Though she allegedly initially resisted his advances, the publication said they eventually headed to a hotel in New York City, where Timberlake cheated.

At the time, Timberlake’s reps strongly denied the allegations and Munn’s reps made no comment. And Crossmap notes after another tabloid from Ireland published photos of Timberlake in a Paris nightclub also claiming he was cheating on Biel, the couple filed a defamation case against the magazine. The publishers of the magazine then released an apology stating the article was based on “an unfounded report.”

There were romance rumors with Timberlake and Ashley Olsen

Before Timberlake and Biel tied the knot, the two broke up. And during Justin’s short stint of being single, rumors flew that he was romantically linked with fellow actress Ashley Olsen. Back in 2011, E! News reported insiders who knew Timberlake claimed he was spending a lot of time with Olsen. “Justin and Ashley have a ton of mutual friends. Yeah, they were hanging out,” the insider claimed. But they also said that Timberlake was very single at the time.

Additionally, the insider said Timberlake was still in touch with Biel, which we now know is true, since a reconciliation (and then marriage) was incoming. It seems even when Timberlake could have run off with another woman, he always had Biel on the brain.

Is any of it true?

We can’t say for sure whether Timberlake ever was unfaithful to Biel — but it seems highly unlikely. Even after their breakup and before their marriage, Timberlake called Biel “the single-handedly most significant person in my life. In my 30 years, she is the most special person,” E! News reports.

And Biel has always stood by her husband, too. Now, the two have a 3-year-old son and seem more committed than ever. People reports while Biel was on the Today show, she spoke candidly about how she keeps her marriage strong. She said, “But, honestly, I just really feel like you have to work hard. … We’re lucky enough to go and stay in different places and live in different places while we work and that’s definitely part [of having a strong marriage].”
