Did Kim Kardashian Force Kourtney to Leave ‘KUWTK’?

Not long ago, Kourtney Kardashian shared that she will be ‘taking a break’ from television. She stars in Keeping Up with the Kardashians, her family’s reality TV show. Although the family was rich before the show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians made Kourtney and her sisters — Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian — household names.

Kourtney was clear that she’s not quitting the show. She is calling this a hiatus and seems sure she’ll be back. As her children get older, Kourtney feels she needs to step back from the show and give them some semblance of a normal life while they’re still young.

Kourtney did say that because of the filming schedule, it may be a while before fans notice her absence. She is on this season, and we’re getting new insights into why Kourtney may have left the show.

There has been drama involving Kourtney Kardashian

It wouldn’t be Keeping Up with the Kardashians without drama, but this season has fans cringing. So far, we’ve seen Kim and Khloe bully their older sister about the show, and threaten to fire her for not showing enough of her life on the show.

It’s not like the girls had a rational conversation about what is a reasonable amount of film time for Kourtney. Instead of discussing the issue like adults, Khloe and Kim flew off the handle. They called Kourtney over facetime, and Kim told her: “We have a proposal for you. It starts with an ‘f’ and ends with a ‘d.'”

Khloe tried to get their mother and manager, Kris Jenner, to take their side. Kim slammed her sister and her “boundaries,” which, frankly, are healthy. Everyone needs to draw a line for their own well-being, and Kourtney finally did. She stood her ground, too.

This footage has fans wondering if Kim and Khloe forced Kourtney to quit. While they didn’t outright fire her, they certainly have been giving her a hard time.

Fans are taking Kourtney’s side on this. They see Kim and Khloe’s behavior as immature and un-sisterly. Fans can’t imagine how someone could speak to their own family the way Kim threatened Kourtney. Khloe running to her mother didn’t exactly help the women look more mature, either.

Now that Kourtney is “taking a break” from the show, Kim and Khloe will have to be careful not to alienate fans. Considering the show’s long run, fans might get tired of the same immature drama they saw 10 years ago.

Is Kim Kardashian wrong?

Kourtney is definitely not holding back from the show. Fortunately or unfortunately, Kourtney has brought a lot of drama to Keeping Up with the Kardashians over the years.

Her relationship with Scott Disick was the definition of on-again, off-again. Their drama was so compelling that Disick now has his own spin-off show

Kourtney has shared much of the last decade of her life on the show. That includes heartbreak, romance, and the births of all three of her children. A lot of fans think Kim’s stance on this is unfair.

Kourtney Kardashian’s kids have grown up on TV

The oldest of Kourtney’s children, Mason, is 10. He was born on the show and has been filmed for it his whole life. It’s reasonable for Kourtney to want something a little more normal for her kids.

There are many downsides for the kids and Kourtney. She’s constantly judged for her parenting decisions. Even her children are sometimes faced with unfair scrutiny for their behavior.

For example, Kourtney revealed that she needed a new nanny after hers quit. It turned out her daughter Penelope, or “P”, scratched the nanny’s face. While it may have been a serious warning sign about P’s behavior, most children have the luxury of acting out without the whole world knowing about it.

It’s just one example of how being on television may be detrimental for the kids. Especially as they get older, and may have access to the internet and social media. The show’s footage serves as fodder for internet trolls. No one would want their young children interacting with online haters.
