Did Lala Kent From ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Actually Make up With James Kennedy?

Lala Kent from Vanderpump Rules may be in a better place today than she was when she filmed the last season. The SUR hostess had a pretty rough ending and reunion. Especially with James Kennedy, his girlfriend Raquel Leviss and hostess Billie Lee.

Her feud with Kennedy was a long time coming. They argued endlessly last season, but this season they simply weren’t speaking. During the reunion, she lashed out at cast members. Plus she was visibly shaken the entire season after her father passed away.

She also revealed recently that she was an alcoholic. She told the rest of the cast her relationship with alcohol became so problematic she ultimately quit drinking and never looked back. Now, perhaps seeing life through a sober lens is giving her more clarity toward the people she used to call friends.

Kent and Kennedy were not fighting about the pasta

At this point “it’s not about the pasta” has become everything from a meme to a podcast. Contention bubbled for some time after Kent and Kennedy initially had a very flirtatious relationship. But Kent found her true love and is currently engaged. Although Kennedy is also in a committed relationship, the tension between the two continued to exist.

The explosive fight that became “pasta gate” was really about Kennedy’s girlfriend, Raquel Leviss. Kent was accused of eating Leviss’ pasta while out to dinner and seemed confused about why Kennedy was so upset. Kennedy started to dog Kent’s boyfriend and things went south from there. Hence, “It’s not about the pasta!”

Ultimately the former friends were no longer speaking, plus Kent seemed completely irritated with Leviss during the most recent season.

She also warred with Billie Lee

Bille Lee was Kent’s girl last year. But things changed quite a bit this year too. Lee was upset the ladies hosted their own night at SUR and forgot to tag her in their Instagram posts.

Kent’s anger boiled over during “Brunch with Billie” where she came to the event and threw down with Leviss. Lee was mortified and confronted Kent. Kent ended up screaming at not only Leviss but also Lee.

Of course, Kent was still heavily grieving her father’s death as Leviss told Kent to stop “pulling the dad card.” But Kent said in Bravo’s Personal Space she had a major beef with Lee already. “Because I think she’s a sh*t stirrer,” she said. “She’s very two-faced.”

Have the former friends made any progress?

Since filming wrapped and Kent has had some time to reflect, the group seems to be starting to warm to each other, Bravo’s The Daily Dish reports. Everyone spoke to Too Fab and said there is definitely some progress.

“Lala’s reached out. We’re chatting, we’re texting and hopefully gonna meet up for lunch maybe this coming week and catch up a little bit in person,” Kennedy told Too Fab. “But yeah, we’re definitely texting. If I saw her today, I’d say hi.” Plus, Leviss said, “It’s nice to see someone reflect on their actions and realize that everything that they said might not have been correct.”

Lee also seems to be ready to mend fences with Kent too. “Lala and I are talking, we’re texting. I have a deep love for her,” she told Too Fab. “It’s hard for us because we’re very similar because we like to attack, but she’s been through a lot, and I get it. And you know, they only show some of the negative parts of her, too. It’s how reality television is.”
