Did Meghan Markle Lie About Her Due Date?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced last October that they were expecting a baby the following spring. Fans instantly began wondering when Meghan’s due date was, but she and her husband never revealed the exact date. However, the couple did give a general timeline of when the baby was due — but now, some think Meghan has already given birth. Did the duchess lie about her due date?

Meghan revealed a few months ago that her baby was due in late April

Meghan and Harry had been very excited to start a family from the moment they wed. Even before the couple got married, each of them individually expressed interest in having children. Those close to the royal couple said they were going to try and start a family as soon as they were married, but nobody could have suspected the pair would get pregnant as quickly as they did.

Meghan and Harry wed in May 2018, and by July 2018, a little one was on the way. The couple made an official announcement in October and said the baby was due in late spring. But Meghan later revealed while on a public engagement that her baby was due in late April.

People suspected during Meghan’s pregnancy that she was farther along than she said

Although Meghan said she would welcome the baby in late April, fans suspected the duchess was actually much farther along than her due date suggested. Even back in January, Meghan’s baby bump was so large that people felt there had to be more to the story; either Meghan was pregnant with twins, or she was due sooner than she said. It’s unlikely the duchess is pregnant with twins; the royal family probably would have told the public something like that. However, people didn’t ignore the size of Meghan’s bump. Others defended the duchess’ bump and said all women carry differently; still, it seemed intriguing that she looked so pregnant after only a few months.

Some royal fans suspect Meghan has already given birth.

Now, some royal fans suspect Meghan has already given birth

Now that it’s officially late April, people have realized that it’s entirely possible Meghan has already given birth. Ever since Meghan joined the royal family, she has done things differently than past family members. She reportedly decided not to give birth in the Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital. And she and Harry decided they wanted to live a more private life at Frogmore Cottage rather than be neighbors with Prince William and Kate Middleton at Kensington Palace. The Sussex couple has been known to keep us on our toes with their decisions, so nobody would be shocked if Meghan and Harry eventually reveal they welcomed a baby several weeks ago.

Meghan may have lied about her due date to have some privacy with Harry and the new baby

It’s been very difficult for Meghan to find any privacy since marrying Harry. If she did lie about her due date, it was probably only to protect her and the new baby. Meghan doesn’t seem to be malicious toward the public in any way, but with so much recent negative media attention, she and Harry may feel that they don’t owe the press a formal introduction right now. Only time will tell if Meghan lied about her due date, but it’s very possible she already gave birth and wanted to throw people off.
