Did ‘Southern Charm’ Star Shep Rose Find Love With A ‘Below Deck Med’ Yachtie?
Southern Charm star Shep Rose is one of the show’s most eligible bachelors, and it appears that he is looking for love outside of Charleston. In a recent Instagram post, Rose shared a picture of himself at a pool in the Hamptons with another Bravolebrity – Below Deck Mediterranean’s Anastasia Surmava.
Meeting a Unicorn
Rose has been spending time this summer in New York City and the Hamptons, and he recently posted a picture of himself giving Surmava a giant engagement ring.
The unicorn Rose was referring to was a pool float that Surmava was lounging in, and the giant engagement ring he was handing her was also an inflatable pool toy.
Just joking around
Shep Rose and Surmava have apparently become good friends because this isn’t the first time he has talked about her on social media. In July, Rose posted a pic in an Instagram Story of a bright green food truck covered in pictures of sandwiches. And, in the caption, he called out Surmava, as well as her co-star Hannah Ferrier.
Rose wrote, “It’s our food truck!”
The 39-year-old didn’t give any more details about his food truck memory. But, it’s obvious he spent a little bit of time with Surmava after they both made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen within days of each other.
Anastasia Surmava has a new project
Surmava’s summer break in the Hamptons comes after filming an eventful fourth season of Below Deck Mediterranean that featured the third stew taking over the kitchen after Captain Sandy Yawn fired Chef Mila Kolomeitseva.
Surmava was a good fit for the kitchen because she does have some experience, and she is also the daughter of a pastry chef. After Chef Mila’s numerous errors – including making pancakes from a box – Surmava stepped in and showed that she has what it takes to be an executive chef.
When she’s not on a yacht, Surmava lives in Sri Lanka and is the executive chef and creative director of an eco cafe and yoga studio called Ajna, which she opened before filming Season 4.
“I’m gonna be there for a while, I’m still in the process of building everything. The shala was open for about two months, the café was open for about 20 days, just a soft launch, “ Surmava told The Daily Dish. “We got great reviews, people loved it, and I’m going back in September to finish building everything and then train my staff on the rest of my menu and staff it with yoga teachers and rock it.”
Bravo crossover in the Hamptons
Rose and Surmava aren’t the only Bravolebrities enjoying the summer in the Hamptons. Rose also ran into Carl Radke from Summer House, as well as Ramona Singer from the Real Housewives of New York City.
Shep Rose’s Southern Charm pals Austen Kroll and Craig Conover were also in town, and they posed with Singer for a pic that she shared on Instagram. In the caption she wrote, “Weekend vibes.”
Puppy Craig didn’t make an appearance
As Southern Charm fans know by now, Shep Rose has a new puppy which he named Craig, in honor of his co-star, Craig Conover, and he says that it just comes naturally for him to yell the name Craig across his house and lawn.
Rose says that he can’t leave puppy Craig by himself for longer than three or four hours so he has to do some creative planning when it comes to his schedule. But, it looks like puppy Craig stayed home in Charleston with a dog-sitter because he didn’t appear with Rose in any of his New York pictures.
