Did Tamra Judge Sell Her New Home Because it Was Jinxed?

Real Housewives of Orange County

Is it possible that Tamra Judge from The Real Housewives of Orange County sold her house due to a little bad juju? Anything is possible, as Judge just signed a sales contract for $1.8 million, People reports.

“Looks like we’re moving,” Judge posted to her Instagram. I know what you’re thinking ‘already’ We very excited about our new house.” The next thread was, “SOLD! Closed escrow in a record 14 days! | 23 Friar Lane | Congratulations to both my Sellers and my Buyers!”

One reason the home sale is turning heads is that Judge just purchased the home in December 2017 for $1.63 million, according to Reator.com. Located in Ladera Ranch, CA, the 4,000 square foot home boasts five bedrooms and four baths. The couple did some pretty significant renovations to the home, which she showed off to People in April 2018.

Since viewers just watched the couple move into and renovate the home, people are wondering what gives?

What did Judge update?

The 2005 home was shown the reality series undergoing a number of renovations. The biggest and most dramatic update was made to the kitchen. Judge featured the finished product on her Instagram with, “Finally done with my kitchen nook..isn’t she a beauty so many memories to be made.”

It also appears the couple installed new flooring and made updates to some of the shelving and woodwork throughout the home. They removed a fireplace but added space for a 75-inch television, Judge wrote on Instagram.

Judge flip-flopped on the sale

Judge put the home on the market immediately after finishing the updates, Realtor.com reports. On September 12 she posted to Instagram, “After a very emotional year we have decided to make a change. I love the process of remodeling and decorating and enjoyed [every] step of the way. I can’t wait for you to see what’s next. We are very excited about the next chapter of our life … stay tuned.”

Apparently, Judge had seller’s remorse only 12 days after listing it. She posted to her Instagram story, “What was I thinking? Panic attack,” Realtor.com reports. Then she listed a poll asking followers: “Do I really want to give this up?” Approximately 91% said to stay put, but the home is now listed under “active contract.”

Why is Judge selling?

It’s no secret that Judge had a rough year. Most noteworthy, Judge’s husband Eddie suffered from endless heart surgeries, despite being seemingly healthy before the move. Beyond that, “Since we moved in, it’s just been one thing after another,” she told Most Wanted, Realtor.com recounts. “We moved in under construction, which was stressful. Then our dog got cancer. Then our guinea pig died. Then I broke my foot the same day the guinea pig died.”

Bottom line, Judge thinks the home caused their woe.

Where is Judge going now?

The couple used their $200,000 profit to put toward a new home located in the show’s signature neighborhood, Coto de Casa, according to Realtor.com. The home lists at $2,095,000. The new digs are slightly larger than the “cursed” home at close to 5,000 square feet. It has six bedrooms and four and a half baths. This home is a little older than her previous one, built in 2001 and has custom woodwork and marble throughout. If the couple has to renovate, Judge has plenty of experience.
