Did Tana Mongeau and Jake Paul Actually Get Married?

YouTuber romances are nothing new. In fact, they are so common that people often wonder if they are actually legitimate. Let’s face it, a lot of things that YouTubers do are just stunts to get their views up.

So, anytime one makes a major life decision, fans wonder if it’s real or just for subscribers.

Jake Paul and Tana Mongeau’s relationship

YouTuber Jake Paul doesn’t hold anything back. He does whatever he wants, whenever he wants, and always brings his subscribers along for the ride.

He met fellow YouTuber Tana Mongeau at a party in April. After seven weeks together, the two got matching tattoos.

On Mongeau’s 21st birthday, Jake asked her to marry him with a surprise birthday cake.

Disbelief about the engagement

Fans were shocked at the quick engagement. The couple had barely spent any time together before making such a huge decision.

Even Jake’s brother, Logan Paul, had his doubts about the relationship.

“I don’t know what’s going on there [with Jake and Tana], man,” he recently said on  KFC Radio.

“There’s no exchange [of money] but you can make money together,” Logan continued. “Like, say you make merch together, you probably split, like, 50/50 split. I hope so. Like, what if my brother’s, like, doing 80/20 with Tana? Oh, Tana, no! Tana, don’t do it! Damn, he been doing 80/20. He’s been doing 80/20.”

But despite the backlash, Mongeau and Jake went ahead and announced their wedding date.

“Welcome to the Paul family, we welcome you with love,” Jake said at VidCon. “From the moment I met you, we fit like a glove. The world can question our fate, but on July 28, you can all save the date.”

Did they actually get married?

Yesterday was the big day. Mongeau started the morning with a video to Jake.

“Good morning, YouTube,” she said. “It’s 6:09 a.m. on July 28, 2019 and I am about to go get on a plane and go get married. I’m nervous. I’ve never made a video like this. I’m f**king sitting in my room talking into a microphone, like I even know how to work a microphone. The other day in an airport, a girl came up to me and asked me why I love you, Jake. …I realized in that moment that the only person I never want to question why I love you is you. Because I love you. Like some, ‘I listen to love songs and smile now’ sh*t.”

She went on to explain her love for her husband-to-be.

“I love you,” she continued. “It actually still scares me so much to say it because once I say it and it’s somewhere other than my head, it becomes completely real and to be quite frank, I am so used to losing everything I love and I don’t want to lose you.”

The couple did go through with the wedding, though it’s not clear if the marriage is legal or not.

The two were married at Graffiti Mansion with hundreds of guests in attendance.

Fight at the wedding

Unfortunately, the night didn’t exactly end in wedded bliss. Apparently, a group of guests went running out of the ceremony and threw champagne on Jake. The owner of the location, Armani Izadi chased the group out of the venue.
