Did the ‘Little People, Big World’ Sneak Peak Hint that Zach and Tori Roloff Are Broke?
Thanks to Little People, Big World, we’ve been keeping up with the Roloff family for years. It all began with Matt and Amy Roloff, two little people who wanted to share their experience raising four kids and maintaining Roloff Farms. A lot has changed since the show first aired, however. While Matt and Amy Roloff have since divorced and found new folks to date, their kids have all grown up fast, too — and Zach Roloff, a fan favorite from the beginning, has begun a family of his own.
Zach and Tori Roloff have easily won over fans with their love story and adorable baby, Jackson. But according to the latest trailer for the new season of LPBW, it appears the family may be having money troubles. Here’s what’s going on.
Zach and Tori Roloff certainly have plenty of expenses with their son
We remember Zach and Tori’s beautiful wedding, and now, fans love hearing all about their son, Jackson. We know Zach is the only member of his family aside from his family who has dwarfism, and Tori is of normal height. This gave them about a 50% chance of having a child with dwarfism — and it turns out their baby, Jackson, was born with the same condition as Zach. In Touch Weekly reports Zach and Tori found out about Jackson’s dwarfism when she was around 34 weeks pregnant.
Tori always knew the probability of having a child with dwarfism was high — and while she had concerns initially when finding out about Jackson, she knew she’d love him all the same. As Zach has said of his son, “You have to encourage a dwarf child a little more because it will take them five steps to do what others can do in two.” And while the couple would never change anything about Jackson, there’s no doubt having a baby with dwarfism most likely comes with more medical expenses now and in the future, which certainly may cause a dip in their bank account.
The sneak peak hints that their in over the heads with money issues
Fans can’t wait for the new season of Little People, Big World to start — and from the looks of the trailer, there’s plenty that’s about to go down in Tori and Zach Roloff’s world. We can tell Zach may be having some health struggles, as he mentions, “I’ve been having a lot of pain in my back.” And we also see him potentially getting surgery due to compression of the spinal cord, which is a lot of pain and money he certainly doesn’t want to have to deal with.
Not only that, but Zach and Tori directly mention possible money issues in the trailer. “We have two mortgages … I’m way in over my head,” Zach says in the trailer. And we also see a sneak peak of an episode where Zach and Tori both say, “Our cash flow is nil.” As for what exactly may be causing them to drain their bank accounts, we’ll have to wait and see — but it seems their home may have a lot to do with it.
It appears they’ve added a new member of the family, too
It seems Zach and Tori may have a new addition to the family judging from the trailer, too — and that’s a dog. “We are getting a puppy and his name is Murphy,” Tori said in the trailer. For those who follow Tori on Instagram, they’ve likely seen Murphy in her photos of the past — but if the couple were having money troubles, we can’t imagine adding a puppy to the mix helped. Either way, we can’t wait to see how the family deals with having a new dog in the house around Baby J.
Fans are excited to tune in to see what will happen with Tori and Zach’s expenses — and we’re all wondering if we’ll hear any details about another kind of family expansion. Tori’s followers have pressed her in the past about if she’s planning on having more kids with Zach. She’s urged her fans to stop asking about a possible pregnancy before, but we’re still all wondering if Jackson will get another baby brother or sister soon.
