Did ‘Vanderpump Rules’ Star, Lala Kent’s Acting Take Off Because of Randall Emmett? She Responds to Haters

An actress is only as good as the jobs that she books. And though Lala Kent has landed quite a few acting gigs, people are still having trouble taking her seriously.

This year, Kent filmed Axis Sally, which is a drama set in the World War II era. Booking this job was no small feat, as the film stars Al Pacino and is directed by Michael Polish.

Sounds like a great film, right? So why are people giving Kent grief? Well, the movie is being produced by none other than Kent’s fiance, Randall Emmett.

Kent, not one to take criticism lying down, recently got on Instagram to blast the haters.

What did Kent say to her haters?

Once people started giving Emmett credit for Kent’s career, the reality star jumped on Instagram to remind fans that she’s not new to acting at all.

“I’ve been in the arts since the age of 12,” the star captioned an image of her from the film. “When I fell in love with acting it became my craft- my baby.”

She stressed that her roles have been earned not given.

“People can say whatever they want about roles that I book. That I had an ‘in.’ But to play opposite Al Pacino, to deliver a monologue in front of him, that’s not just given to someone. That’s earned.”

How does Emmett feel about Kent’s career?

Randall and Kent haven’t had the easiest year, according to this season of Vanderpump Rules. The two even broke up for a short while after the producer broke the couple’s sobriety pact. But the pair was able to mend things and get back together shortly after.

Despite any relationship woes that the couple may have had, Emmett has stood by Kent and her acting career.

While they were in Puerto Rico filming the movie, Emmett took to Instagram to tell the world how happy he was for his future wife.

“Proud of you and this role that your crushing from the 1940s they all going to be blown away!!” he wrote.

What is Axis Sally about?

Not much is known about the film yet, except for that it is a period drama surrounding the life of Mildred Gilllars.

The film is about “an American woman named Mildred Gillars [who] broadcast Nazi propaganda during World War II. She was dubbed Axis Sally by the American GI’s who simultaneously loved and hated her. The story plunges the viewer into the dark underbelly of the Third Reich’s hate-filled propaganda machine, Axis’ eventual capture and treason trial in Washington D.C. after the war,” IMDB states.

There’s no word on when the movie will be released.

What else has Kent starred in?

This isn’t Kent’s first role. She was in Romance in the Outfield, which can be streamed on Amazon, as well as Dragon Warriors, alongside Luke Perry. Kent also hadrole in, The Mentor and The Row, which she will be appearing in the second installment of, as well.

As for Kent’s acting career, the future looks bright. This year, she is set to appear in Vault and 10 Minutes Gone.
