Other Disney+ Shows to Watch While You’re Waiting for Season 2 of ‘The Mandalorian’

Fans of The Mandalorian are already counting down the days until there’s more Baby Yoda content on this streaming platform. Unfortunately, season 2 of this Star Wars series isn’t set to premiere until the fall of 2020. What other Disney+ series’ can viewers enjoy in the meantime? Here are a few of our favorite Star Wars and Disney+ original and exclusive television shows.

Disney premiered ‘The Mandalorian’ on Disney+ at the streaming platform’s launch date

For the first time ever, Disney premiered a live-action Star Wars series on its streaming platform, entitled The Mandalorian. Directed by Jon Favreau, this story quickly became a favorite of some fans. Although the first season was only ten episodes long, coming to its conclusion during December 2019, there is plenty of other content on this streaming platform for Star Wars viewers to enjoy.

The library of this streaming platform also contents Star Wars movies from the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, and the sequel trilogy. That includes A New Hope, The Last Jedi, and Revenge of the Sith. Disney took their content one step further, releasing multiple original series’ on their platform.

Disney has a few original shows, including ‘Lamp Life’ and ‘High School Musical: The Musical: The Series,’ on Disney+

The Mandalorian is not the only exclusive show that debuted on Disney+’s launch date. As a spin-off from their Disney Channel original movie, High School Musical: The Musical: The Series starred a new cast of characters as they create their own high school musical.

During December 2019, Disney created its documentary and mini-series, One Day at Disney. This original program followed a few cast members, from Good Morning America anchors to stage performers at Animal Kingdom, as they shared their experience working for the company.

There are a few animated series’ available on this streaming platform based on Pixar characters Woody, Forky, Buzz, and Bo Peep. Disney created the short series Forky Asks a Question and later in 2020, Lamp Life, the story of Bo Peep premieres on the platform. The most recently released series is Diary of a Future President, featuring Jane the Virgin actress Gina Rodriguez.

Disney+ is releasing the final season of ‘Star Wars The Clone Wars’

As one of Disney’s original Star Wars television shows, fans first watched Star Wars The Clone Wars on the company’s television network. On Feb. 21, 2020, the final season of this series premieres on the streaming platform.

The trailer for season 7 premiered on YouTube Jan. 22, 2020 and jumped to one of the top trending spots on the platform, earning over 3 million views. According to StarWars.com, this season will have 12 all-new episodes with some of the same beloved Star Wars characters.

In the meantime, other Star Wars series’ are streamable on Disney+. That includes Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars Resistance. The first season of The Mandalorian continues to be on Disney’s streaming platform. The next season of this live-action exclusive show is scheduled to premiere sometime during fall 2020.
