According to DJ Pauly D, his former Jersey Shore housemate, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro, is keeping his daughter, one-year-old Ariana Sky, first. Ortiz-Magro shares Ariana with his ex, Jen Harley, who was recently arrested for a domestic dispute.
Pauly D speaks about Ronnie’s progress
At his F Cancer Jersey Shore party, Pauly spoke to Us Weekly about Ronnie’s current well-being. He assures that Ronnie is “doing well” and prioritizing his daughter after returning from rehab. He also explains that Season 3 of Jersey Shore: Family Vacation will feature parts of Ronnie and Jen’s rollercoaster relationship.
Ronnie and Jen’s volatile relationship history
Ronnie and Jen’s relationship soured after the birth of their daughter. It initially began with Ronnie getting upset because she kept intimate videos with her ex on her phone. The argument resulted in a fight where viewers watched them get into a physical altercation on Instagram Live.
They eventually got back together until Jen punched Ronnie in his face during an argument while they were driving. Ronnie demanded she let him out of the car. Before he fully got his seatbelt off, Jen sped away, dragging Ronnie with her car. Officials arrested Jen because their daughter was in the backseat.
Jen and Ronnie rekindled their romance after the altercation until they had another blow-out on New Year’s Eve. Jen threw an ashtray at Ronnie’s face, busting his forehead, lip, and nose. He filed a battery report against her, and then Las Vegas officials arrested her May 2019.
Why did Ronnie go to rehab?
Ronnie went to Headwaters Treatment Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, for alcohol abuse and depression in February 2019. He explained to Us Weekly that he is seeking treatment “to be a better father” and become healthy again. Ronnie says he drank too much because he felt depressed. The Jersey Shore star also admitted how “angry” and “resentful” he felt for his past decisions.
When does ‘Jersey Shore: Family Vacation’ Season 3 air?
MTV has not officially announced a date yet; however, it will premiere in the summer. There is information about what the show will air, including Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s wedding, Ronnie’s rehab stint, and Angelina Pivarnick’s troubled childhood.
Angelina says she will not allow specific members of her family at her wedding, and she explains why in Season 3. She has already revealed that her father told her she was born so he could get a lesser jail sentence. Even though viewers will see Angelina’s dark past, they will also show happy moments, including the proposal from her boyfriend, Chris Larangeira.
