Do Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa Get Along?
Since announcing their relationship back in 2011, fans instantly fell in love with Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa’s love for each other.
Whether it was on red carpets or out in public, the couple always showcased how smitten they were with each other and never cared who saw.
After three years of being together, the couple decided to go their separate ways.
However, many want to know if Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have remained on good terms since calling it quits?
They have remained close friends
Even though Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa decided to end their marriage back in 2014, the former lovers have maintained a close friendship ever since.
Wiz and Amber have discussed their post-marital relationship and revealed that they are still good friends but just couldn’t stay married to each other.
“Things happen and sometimes as much as you love each other you’re better off as friends,” Rose recently told PEOPLE in 2016. “I feel like we can be the best of friends but we just can’t be in a marriage together. And that’s okay, because as long as Bash is happy, and we’re able to co-parent, that’s the most important thing,”
Shortly after their divorce was finalized, the former couple celebrated their love for each other that “never goes away” at the Ace of Diamonds strip club in Los Angeles.
Sources revealed that the exes were seated in the VIP section and just enjoyed each other’s company as friends.
The following day, Amber Rose posted a tweet gushing about her relationship with her ex-husband.
The model wrote, “Too much fun with my Ex hubby last night & no we didn’t celebrate our divorce we celebrated our love 4 each other cuz that never goes away.”
Co-parenting has been pretty easy
Though coming to a custody agreement was a little difficult at first for Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa, they have are now able to co-parent without any problems.
The exes have joint custody of their six-year-old son, Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, and are happy spending time together as a family.
“We both love our son, so it just comes easy. We don’t live that far away from each other, so anytime Sebastian wants to come back here or go with his dad [he can],” Rose told Us Weekly.
Shortly after Amber Rose filed for divorce, she initially asked the court to grant her full custody of their son.
Rose and Khalifa finally reached an agreement that they would split custody in order for both of them to be able to focus on their careers.
“It gives us time to also work,” she told revealed. “When he’s with me, his dad gets to work on a lot of stuff and vice versa … We have 50/50 custody, so it kind of makes it easy to schedule all my work stuff when he’s with his dad. So I’ll just have a jam-packed schedule for a full week when he’s with his dad and when he comes back home to me, my team knows to kind of keep everything very short and small.”
Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa never wanted their differences to affect their son and still make sure they are always present in the young boy’s life.
They are still supportive of each other
Even though Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa have moved on with their lives since the divorce, they still want what’s best for each other.
Wiz Khalifa is currently focused on his rap career and other projects.
As for Amber Rose, she recently revealed that she and Def Jam Records label executive Alexander “AE” Edwards are expecting their first child together.
It has been revealed that Wiz Khalifa is very happy for his ex wife and only wants the best for her.
“For Wiz, he is happy for Amber. He doesn’t have any other way to feel, nothing has made him come to a different conclusion,” a source confirmed.
When it comes to significant changes in each other’s lives, Wiz and Amber are in constant communication to make sure those changes don’t affect Sebastian.
Many can guess that Wiz Khalifa and Amber Rose will maintain a healthy relationship for many years to come. Though they are no longer together, the love this former couple has for each other will never go away.
