When it comes to dating, Chris Evans is currently putting that on the back burner in order to focus on his acting career.

For the past few months, the actor has been pretty busy filming the final scenes of the highly anticipated film, Avengers: End Game.

During his time playing Captain America in the Marvel films, Chris Evans has rarely had time for relationships.

With such a hectic lifestyle, Evans is very cautious when he starts dating because he does not want the woman to feel as though she needs to be by his side every second.

“I was always a really autonomous guy my whole life. Camping by myself is one of my favorite things. I really like to be with someone who also has their own thing to do as well, you know?” Evans told Hollywood Reporter.

“If I’m with someone who just kind of adopts my life, that can feel a bit suffocating,” he added.

Though there have been rumors of Chris Evans retiring in the near future, the actor hopes that once his time is up with Marvel, he will one day get to do some directing.

Due to his busy schedule, that alone made it hard for Chris Evans to stay in a relationship with his last girlfriend, Jenny Slate.

After dating on-and-off for two years, the two actors decided to call it quits seeing as though both of their schedules were starting to get jam packed.

“It was completely amicable and a mutual decision due to conflicting schedules and they remain very close friends,” an insider told Us Weekly.

He likes keeping his relationships private

As far as we know, Chris Evans is currently still single and has no plans of getting into a relationship anytime soon.

While he has dated his fair share of women in the past, the actor is known for keeping his relationship status pretty under wraps.

Throughout the years, Chris Evans has always remained mum when it came time to talk about a relationship he was in at the time.

Other than the occasional red carpet appearances and being spotted out on the town, Chris Evans is not one to publicly showcase his relationships.

So, when it comes to him currently having a girlfriend, there is a slight chance the actor could and is just keeping it on the down low.
