Bethenny Frankel leaves ‘RHONY’ and Bravo.

Frankel became a household name as part of the original cast of RHONY back when it first aired in 2008. The New York native has been a fan favorite throughout the seasons she’s appeared on. Audiences were able to see her rise to fame and fortune as she lived her life in front of the cameras.

Following season 3, Frankel left the Bravo series for her own spin-off and later a daytime talk show. She returned to the Housewives for season 7 and remained there for 5 more seasons.

The main cast of RHONY was to come back for season 12 but Frankel surprised all of her fans and co-stars when she announced she was quitting.

“I have decided to leave the Housewives franchise to explore my next chapter,” Frankel told Variety in late August. “It’s time to move on and focus on my daughter, my philanthropy and my production partnership with Mark Burnett, producing and starring in shows which represent a shift in the conversation for women. With the changes in modern culture, I want to highlight the strength, confidence and unstoppable power that women have.”’

Earlier in the year, Frankel had signed a development deal with Mark Burnett to produce her own shows. It was only natural for the entrepreneur to want to focus on projects she has control over versus being on a show as part of an ensemble.

Bethenny Frankel might be regretting her decision of quitting.

With Frankel fully devoted to her new producer gig, there have been rumors she’s regretting her decision of quitting RHONY.

“Bethenny had it made as the star of RHONY,” an insider told Radar Online. “She was the highest-paid Housewife, only worked a couple of days a week filming the show, and the producers were flexible with her schedule. All she had to do was show up and the network and producers handled the rest.”

The source claims that Frankel is now “expected to work long hours” and “she is worried that she won’t have time for her business and is stressed about doing all of this as a mom.”

Another thing that is weighing on Frankel is the time she spends in LA. Her daughter lives and goes to school in NY but because her new job is based out on the West Coast, she doesn’t want to have to pull her out of school.

“MGM  rolled out the red carpet for Bethenny in Hollywood and she debuted at the Emmys. But behind the scenes, she is questioning if all the stress is worth it,” the insider also mentioned.

Bethenny Frankel reacts to rumors.

After news that Frankel might be having regrets in her decision of quitting the Bravo reality show, a rep for the star has debunked the rumors.

“This is absolutely not true. No regrets at all. She’s excited of what’s to come with her new endeavors,” a source told TooFab.

If Frankel decides to return to RHONY, Andy Cohen would completely welcome her back to the show. In fact, he has high hopes Frankel will return in the future.

“She already left is what we need to remember,” Cohen said on his SiriusXM radio show. “So, we were so lucky to have these last seasons with her on it. I just am living in the gratitude of her second return, and I will hopefully live in the gratitude of her third return. Because we are much like the mob, you can’t get out. And I, I do hope and think that she will come back sometime.”

Frankel was a big personality on RHONY and season 12 will not be the same without her. Fans of the former Bravo star have been extremely supportive of her and her new plans for reality television. There are also rumors that she will make a comeback on her own reality series. For now, we’ll have to wait to see what Frankel’s next move is.
