Farrah Abraham rose to prominence on MTV’s 16 and Pregnant and Teen Mom as a controversial cast member with an abrasive personality. She was fired from Teen Mom in 2017, though there are still discussions here and there about whether she could return to the series.
Recently, Abraham talked about her possible return, though she managed to also trash some newer girls on Teen Mom with harsh words, saying that she does not want to be on the same show as them.
Little did Abraham know, the other original cast members of the show do not dislike the newer people as much as they dislike Abraham herself.
Why Farrah Abraham got fired from ‘Teen Mom’ in 2017
In late 2017, news came out that Abraham was fired from Teen Mom OG after being on the show for seven a half seasons. A source told Us Weekly that her foray into the adult entertainment industry was what made MTV decide to let her go. The insider shared: “It was all because of the porn. They said it didn’t fit with the brand.”
Abraham subsequently took to social media to let the world know her feelings. She said that Viacom, which owns MTV, “let me go because as a Business Mogul I act like an adult and part take in adult promotions and activities that other adults do for FREE or in private.”
“Sad such a phenomenal show will no longer have its biggest talent on the show because of women hating, sex shaming, hate crimes, selfish, Weinstein company power trip behaviors against a professional hard working, honest mother.”
After Abraham was fired from Teen Mom, Cheyenne Floyd and Bristol Palin were put in to replace her. However, Palin left after one season on the show.
Farrah Abraham will only return if Cheyenne Floyd is fired from ‘Teen Mom’
When discussing whether she would come back to Teen Mom or not, Abraham is clear that she has some conditions for the producers. Speaking to Radar Online’s Teen Mom Time podcast, Abraham said that her biggest request is for Cheyenne Floyd to be fired.
“I don’t share my seasons with newbies,” Abraham revealed. “I’ll come back if it’s OG all the way.”
Abraham also went on to diss Floyd and Palin. “It’s been quirky seeing the girls they put in place for me. Seeing how they picture fulfilling my place has been very funny and entertaining to me. No one knows Cheyenne is on the show, let’s be real. That is a joke.”
Catelynn Lowell would ‘absolutely not’ want Farrah Abraham back
Abraham’s statements did not sit well with the original girls on Teen Mom. Catelynn Lowell, notably, has spoken out in defense of Floyd. Lowell praised Floyd’s personality and said that Floyd fits in better with the other cast members than Abraham ever did.
Lowell went on to slam Abraham: “She’s still the self-righteous person — she always has been — and we don’t need that type of attitude in our loving group.”
“Everyone loves a train wreck, so if MTV brings her back, I hope all the fans enjoy watching that,” Lowell continued. “But I would not help them bring her back or petition against her because that’s a waste of my time, and I’ve wasted enough of my time trying to befriend her and help her in the past.”
Farrah Abraham wants to include the ‘Teen Mom’ cast members in her biopic
Despite the fact that Abraham and the rest of the OG girls are clearly not friends, she has expressed interest in them being a part of an upcoming biopic that she is working on.
In an interview on Jonathan Cheban’s podcast, Foodgod: OMFG, Abraham shared that the cast members have been “such a big part of my biography” and she has reached out to them to be included in her biopic.
However, there has been no word yet on whether anyone has agreed to it.
