Does Jennifer Lopez Regret Her Past Marriages?

It’s been a long time coming for Jennifer Lopez and her love life, but she’s finally found her happily ever after in fiancé Alex Rodriguez.

The singer and former MLB star are in the middle of planning their dream wedding and with this being Lopez’s fourth marriage, she wants everything to go perfect this time around.

While sharing new behind-the-scenes footage of her show preparations in a YouTube video, J.Lo opens up about her “big wedding plans” and explains why she doesn’t count her past marriages.

J.Lo was only married a few months during her first two marriages

Jennifer Lopez is getting real about her love life in a new video uploaded to her Youtube channel titled “Making The It’s My Party Tour: Showtime!”

The singer gives viewers an in-depth look into all of the hard work that is currently going into her 24-show North American tour.

Aside from seeing all that goes into her live performances, Jennifer Lopez also shares a few details about her upcoming nuptials to MLB star, Alex Rodriguez.

“[We’ll get married] soon, not soon-soon but next year. I’d like a big wedding, I’d like to get married in a church this time. Never been married in a church,” the singer revealed.

Lopez then went on to open up about her first three marriages (Ojani Noa from 1997-98, Cris Judd from 2001-03 and Marc Anthony from 2004-14) and how those don’t even compare to her upcoming marriage to Rodriguez.

“I’ve been married three times: once was nine months and one was 11 months. So I don’t really count those,” she said. “I was married to Marc for 10 years with the kids. I was very young the first two times I tried to get married. I’m saying tried to get married,” she continued, laughing.

Jennifer learned a huge life lesson from her first two marriages

Even though her first two marriages only lasted for a few short months, Jennifer Lopez was still able to take something away from those relationships.

While opening up about her past nuptials, Lopez explained that the reason her first two marriages only last a few months was that she was seeking love during a pivotal time in her career.

With the singer’s acting career was at it’s prime during the late ’90s and early 2000s, she soon realized she had only gotten married to not feel alone and that ended up not working in her favor.

“It seems like in this life you’re always surrounded by people so you’re never lonely but it’s very lonely. So you always want somebody with you,” she said. “So I felt like if I got married then I would always have somebody but that’s not how life works. That’s not how it goes, a bad reason to get married. Not the right one, the wrong one.”

Since Jennifer Lopez was able to realize early on that she was seeking love for all the wrong reasons, it helped her, in the long run, to finally find the man she’s was destined to fall in love with.

Jennifer and Alex have plans to tie the knot sometime next year in “a small family celebration.”

Though a majority of Jennifer Lopez’s focus is currently on her tour, she and Rodriguez are slowly but surely getting their wedding plans in order.
