Although she went home empty-handed that year from the Grammy Awards, she did receive a spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for the achievement of Best Start on the US Digital Chart by a Female Artist.
In 2011, her album Teenage Dream got lots of love, with a nomination for Album of the Year, and Best Pop Vocal Album. Perry was also nominated for a Grammy that year for Best Pop Collaboration with Vocals for her duet with Snoop Dogg on the song “California Gurls.” Once again, Perry went home without a Grammy that night but received love from the Juno Awards, a Canadian music awards ceremony where she won International Album of the Year.
