Though the reality star had to sacrifice sitting, a little bit of breathing, and using the bathroom, she was still able to power through the night.

With Kim Kardashian West looking absolutely breathtaking at the exclusive event, does she regret putting herself through all of that to make a fashion statement?

The dress fitting process was intense

It is no question that Kim Kardashian West was one of the best dressed celebrities at this year’s Met Gala.

The reality star put her own twist on this year’s “Camp: Notes on Fashion” theme and wowed everyone who got a glimpse of her.

Though she looked stunning in her skintight, nude gown complete with water droplet-like crystals, the process of getting Kim into the dress was a challenge.

In a behind-the-scenes video released on Vogue‘s Youtube channel, Kim Kardashian West gives fans an inside look into her Met Gala dress fitting.

The video shows a team of three people lacing up Kim’s corset that cinched her waist completely and how they got her into the skintight dress since Kim admits she couldn’t do it on her own.

Once Kim was in the dress and ready for the night, the reality star headed to the Mete Gala ready to take on a new set of challenges.

Kim had to stand the entire event

While getting glam for the night’s event, Kardashian revealed that the dress was so tight, she didn’t think she’d be able to sit down while wearing it.

“Okay, so Anna [Wintour], if I don’t sit down for dinner, now you know why,” the reality TV star said after getting into her corset.

Later in the video, Kim Kardashian also shared that she wouldn’t be able to use the bathroom either.

“Wish me luck, I won’t be able to pee for about four hours,” she said while getting her makeup done. “We’re coming up with a plan for what we do in case of an emergency.”

Once she was dressed and ready to head out, Kim Kardashian West explained that transportation would also be a challenge.

“I asked them to get a stool. So I’ll have to stand as I’m riding in a sprinter van on the way there with, I think, a pole, so I can hold onto the pole,” she said. “Just wish me luck.”

She loved how good her dress looked

Though it was extremely tight and she had to sacrifice relieving herself while wearing it, Kim Kardashian West was extremely pleased by how her custom dress came out.

While on the Met Gala’s pink carpet, Kardashian revealed that the dress took eight months to make and was honored to wear a Thierry Mugler masterpiece.

“This is the first time in 20 years that Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Thierry Mugler,” she said. “So [for him] to come design this gown for me, is such an honor. This is about 8 months in the making.”

Kim Kardashian also made sure to mention all of the hard workers who helped her get into the dress.

“I’ve never seen a team like this before,” she said in the video. “This is, like, beyond what I thought couture was.”

Though she was suffering through it, Kim Kardashian West doesn’t regret one second in the dress and made pain seem like a walk in the park.
