Does Meghan Markle Care What People Think About Her?
To say that Duchess Meghan Markle has a lot on her plate would be the understatement of the year. The former actress has left her life in Hollywood behind to move across the pond, marry into the British royal family, give up her career and be thrust in the spotlight in a major way.
While Markle seems to be handling everything gracefully-though she’s broken a few royal traditions here and there, the tabloids and rumors about her being difficult to work with, the racist attacks against her, and her own family drama have put the weight of the world on her shoulders.
Daily Mail reported, “It is said palace staff have never experienced anything remotely like Meghan’s formidable work ethic, matched only by the incessant stream of ideas about how to shape her role. Though the aides see her enthusiasm as well-meaning, her up and at ’em West Coast energy is an uncomfortable fit with the more formal ethos of some of the palace staff.”
Though she seems above it all, does Meghan Markle actually care what people think about her?

Does Meghan read tabloids?
Back in 2017 when the Suits alum covered Vanity Fair just before her engagement to Prince Harry, she revealed that she stays away from rumors about her and internet gossip. However, back then, she was only on the cusp of the mega-fame that she is experiencing now.
She explained to Vanity Fair, “I can tell you that at the end of the day I think it’s really simple. We’re two people who are really happy and in love. We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception. Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship. “I don’t read any press. I haven’t even read press for Suits. The people who are close to me anchor me in knowing who I am. The rest is noise.”

The Duchess of Sussex yesterday attended a meeting with The Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU) at King’s College London. Her Royal Highness joined university leaders, academics and international scholarship students as they discussed the role of higher education in addressing issues such as human trafficking, modern slavery, gender equality, peace and reconciliation, and climate change. In a speech during the Royal Visit to Fiji in October, The Duchess announced two ACU Gender Grants for the University of the South Pacific and Fiji National University, to fund new learning initiatives aimed at empowering female university staff and promoting gender equality.
Meghan is super stressed out about the backlash
Though she is the picture of grace in front of the cameras and the press, the Duchess of Sussex is having a difficult time dealing with her pregnancy, the various rumors and the very public backlash against her. A source close to Markle told US Weekly, “Meghan has so much on her plate, between being pregnant and dealing with the public backlash, and she’s finding the whole situation incredibly stressful.”
The source explained that Markle is “definitely bothered by all the reports and speculation” adding that “some things are just hard to stay away from,” which is we get, especially during pregnancy when your hormones and emotions are on a constant roller coaster ride.
We certainly hope all of this drama dies down soon for the sake of Markle and Baby Sussex.
