Donald Trump Jr.’s New Love Kimberly Guilfoyle Almost Ditched Fox News For the White House

Donald Trump Jr. made headlines in March 2018 when he and his wife of 12 years, Vanessa Trump, announced their separation. Along with the news of their split, it was revealed that back in 2012, Trump Jr. had cheated on his wife with Celebrity Apprentice contestant, Aubrey O’Day.

You’d think Trump Jr. would want to keep his love life out of the media after so much scandal, but just two months after his separation, he’s already back in the spotlight with a new relationship.

He’s dating none other than a Fox News host, Kimberly Guilfoyle, who reportedly almost got a job at President Donald Trump’s White House. Here’s everything we know, from which position she was considered for (page 7) to who else she was linked to romantically in the Trump administration (page 8).

On May 6, 2018, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle seemed to have made their relationship official by attending a party together. The celebration was for President Trump’s new ambassador to Germany, Richard Grenell, and it was hosted by Bill White and Bryan Eure.

A source told Page Six that Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle had been dating for a few weeks prior to the party. The source explained, “Don Jr. and Kimberly are seeing each other, and are having a great time. While he wants to respect the privacy of his family, he is getting divorced, and he enjoys Kimberly’s company.”

Next: It’s no wonder Trump Jr. took an interest in her.

As a co-host on The Five, it’s no surprise that Guilfoyle shows unwavering support for the Trump family. According to Page Six, “Guilfoyle is known for her strong connections to the Trump family, and she tirelessly backs the president and the first family on-air.”

Trump Jr. likely doesn’t have to worry about getting approval from his father for his new relationship. The president praised her on Twitter in 2015, after reading her book, Making the Case: How to Be Your Own Best Advocate.

He raved, “Required reading 4 success in politics & life read @kimguilfoyle’s book #MakingTheCase. Brilliant Advice!”

Aside from their shared political views, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle have something else in common: divorce. Guilfoyle was previously married to California Lt. Governor, Gavin Newsom, who she wed in 2001. However, according to E! News, they split in 2005, and she moved to New York for her TV career.

She tied the knot a second time to Eric Villency in 2006, but their marriage also ended in 2009.

Next: Here’s how long they’ve been connected.

5. They’ve known each other for at least a decade

Based on photographic evidence, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle have known each other for at least a decade. They’ve been linked back to November 2007, when the two posed for a photo alongside Vanessa Trump, Tamie Peters Thomas, and Rich Thomas.

They were photographed together again in 2008, which once included Vanessa and Guilfoyle’s ex, Villency. Awkward.

Before becoming staple member of Fox News, Guilfoyle served as a prosecutor for the city of San Francisco, where she grew up. According to Town & Country magazine, she first “spent four years in Los Angeles as a deputy district attorney and was named ‘Prosecutor of the Month.’”

According to E! News, Guilfoyle was seriously considered for the position of White House press secretary. She told the Bay Area News Group that the role reportedly became a possibility for her after Sean Spicer left the administration.

However, Page Six reported that due to being under contract with Fox News, she wasn’t able to take the job.

Trump Jr. apparently isn’t the only person Guilfoyle has been linked to romantically in the Trump administration. Rumors circulated after former White House communications director Anthony Scaramucci’s wife, Deidre Ball, filed for divorce in July 2017.

According to Town & Country magazine, Scaramucci was “wooing” Guilfoyle in the fall of 2017. However, they both “repeatedly denied they [were] a couple, even amid reports of them house-hunting together in Manhattan and of a romantic trip to Rome last month, where they were photographed cuddling up at a charity gala.”
