Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Brings New Meaning to the Word ‘Gluttony’ With His Epic Cheat Day Meal

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is one of the people who comes to mind when you hear the phrase, “super-buff professional wrestler.” Even though he’s retired from the World Wrestling Federation (WWF) now, The Rock is still very much part of the public eye thanks to his involvement in the Hollywood scene.

Johnson is considered one of the most successful professional wrestlers in the history of the sport, drawing some of the biggest crowds and commanding the highest pay-per-view event viewers. Plus, his acting career included hits such as The Fast and the Furious franchise and the HBO series Ballers. It’s no wonder everyone looks up to The Rock so much even now.

He may not be part of professional sports anymore, but Johnson still sticks to a healthy diet plan to maintain his rock-hard physique. However, on his so-called “cheat days,” The Rock goes absolutely buck wild.

The Rock eats tons of protein, especially fish

If you really could smell what The Rock was cooking, it would almost definitely be fish. The pro athlete consumes an excessive amount of protein in a day, and most of that comes from fish. In order to maintain muscle, Johnson eats up to 36 ounces of cod in a single day. Compare that to the 4 ounce suggested serving size and you can see why he’s so excessively muscular.

He’s also partial to egg whites while following one of his favorite meal plans, the 12 Labours Diet. And even though it’s trendy right now to avoid carbs, The Rock is perfectly happy to feast on white rice on the side.

His cheat day meals are excessive

They don’t call it a cheat day for nothing! When Johnson takes a break from his strict diet regimen, he goes all out and gorges on a plethora of calorie-packed foods. It’s enough to make anyone feel a little sick thinking about how much he can put away in one sitting.

Recently on Instagram, The Rock shared a typical spread that he likes to enjoy on a cheat day. His #sundaycheatmeal included pancakes smothered in peanut butter and syrup plus two pints of Salt & Straw Chocolate Gooey Brownie ice cream and one pint of Chocolate Chip.

The pancakes have plenty of calories on their own. But when you factor in the ice cream, which has 1,000 calories per pint, Johnson consumed way more than the recommended number of calories per day in just one sitting.

“I bring new meaning to the word, gluttony one bite at a time,” Johnson captioned the post.

Moderation is the key to any successful diet

One glance at The Rock and you can easily see that his indulgences certainly aren’t affecting his waistline too much. That’s because he follows such a regimented diet most of the time, saving gluttonous cheat meals with multiple pints of ice cream for rare occasions.

The Rock has a legendary sweet tooth, so seeing this spread makes total sense. And even Sylvester Stallone voiced his approval of the meal. “I get it! Is the SECRET to keeping your bodybuilding sanity!” he wrote in the comments.
