‘DWTS’: Hannah Brown Says Her Friendship With Alan Bersten Will Surpass the Finale
It’s official — Dancing With the Stars Season 28 ends on Monday, Nov. 25. And after all the hard work, sweat, and tears over the past 11 weeks, The Bachelorette‘s Hannah Brown is a fan-favorite pick to win the DWTS finale — along with her partner, Alan Bersten. But what will the 24-year-old do after the ABC reality competition crowns its final winner? Aside from major career moves, it seems Brown believes her relationship with Bersten will last long after the DWTS finale and continue even once the cameras stop rolling.
Hannah Brown explains what her relationship with Alan Bersten will be like after the ‘DWTS’ finale
DWTS fans have been wondering if Brown and Bersten are dating since the season premiere. However, both dancers have already stated they are just friends.
When speaking with E! News at the 2019 Country Music Awards on Nov. 13, Brown confirmed her relationship with Bersten is merely friendship. The Bachelorette alum also wants her fans to focus on winning DWTS as opposed to whether or not she’s dating Bersten.
“I think our fans should focus on helping get a Mirrorball Trophy and that would just make us both very happy, if they want our happiness,” Brown said. “We have a great time together, we definitely have created a lasting friendship.”
Even so, as the final episodes approaches, fans are asking Brown what her relationship with Bersten will be like after the dancing competition ends. Then in an interview with USA Today before final rehearsals, Brown revealed her friendship with Bersten is strong enough to survive past the DWTS finale.
“We are both focused on this experience. We have one more week left. We’ve been a great team. And then, after this, we’re going to be great friends,” she said. “I’m really glad that Alan was my partner through all of this. We’ve definitely have grown as individuals and as a team. I’m really blessed to have his support.”
Will Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten win the ‘DWTS’ finale?
As of this write-up, it’s too early to tell if Bersten and Brown will win the DWTS finale. And although both contestants want to win the Mirrorball Trophy, it seems Bersten and Brown are going to make the most out of their finale performance, regardless of what happens.
“I think at this point we just have to enjoy it,” Hannah told Entertainment Tonight on Nov. 25. “My body hurts everywhere, so bad. His body hurts really bad, like, we’re tired. But it’s gonna be sad when this is it. So, we gotta bring the best”
Brown also acknowledged her growth since leaving Bachelor Nation to compete on DWTS.
“There were moments where I was like, ‘I don’t know if I’m going to make it here,’ but I did, and I know that I’ve put in all the work, and really I’ve progressed a lot too,” she said. “That’s been really cool, to look back at where I started to where I am now.”
Then in the above interview with USA Today, Brown delved deeper into her growth since The Bachelorette, standing tall in regards to how far she has come.
“I’m really proud of myself. I’m grown a lot, had some ups and downs along the way, ” Brown said. “One week I could be great, the next week it would be a harder dance. I’m just staying positive and keeping the goal in mind. I’m doing everything I can to show that I deserve the Mirror Ball Trophy.”
What will Hannah Brown do after the ‘DWTS’ finale?
Prior to the DWTS finale, Brown revealed her thoughts about post-reality TV life. And for the most part, it appears the dancing reality competition won’t be the last time you see the former Bachelorette. That is if Brown has anything to say about it.
When speaking with Entertainment Tonight on Nov. 4, Brown said she wants to continue “speaking about my experiences, being able to write those down and process those, and then share them with the world.” She also admitted she likes being in front of the camera and holding a microphone.
Meanwhile, in the Nov. 25 interview with USA Today, Brown echoed her previous comments. However, she will be taking a break to spend time with her family for the holidays after DWTS ends.
“I would like to take a break for sure. I definitely need some TLC and will do that over the holiday season.,” she said. “I’m going to Alabama to hang out with my parents for the holidays.”
That said, Brown’s break probably won’t be as long as you might think. “I like to stay busy. So I don’t know how long a break I’ll allow myself,” she said. “I love being on TV and sharing my story. We’ll see how we continue to do that later on.”
