‘DWTS’: Hannah Brown and Alan Bersten Want to Win the Finale for Each Other and It’s Honestly So Sweet
We’re down to the wire on Dancing With the Stars Season 28. And boy, has it been a journey. After an emotional semi-final performance from The Bachelorette‘s Hannah Brown and partner Alan Bersten, both dancers are ready to take on the DWTS finale. And to make your heart root for them even more — if that’s even humanly possible — it seems both Brown and Bersten want to win the final DWTS Mirrorball Trophy for each other.
Hannah Brown wants to win the ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Mirrorball Trophy with Alan Bersten
According to People, Brown and Bersten will perform a Viennese waltz to Taylor Swift’s “Lover” and freestyle to Alicia Keys’ “Girl on Fire” in the DWTS finale. Of course, the pair’s competition looks tough, as they will face off with Lauren Alaina and Gleb Savchenko, Ally Brooke and Sasha Farber, Kel Mitchell and Witney Carson on Monday, Nov. 25. However, Brown and Bersten are simply happy to be dancing the finale together on the DWTS stage.
“This has been an incredible journey so far,” Brown told Access after the Nov. 19 show. “We get to spend the finals together and that’s really awesome because he has been my best friend in all of this.”
“I want to be the person that is able to have that moment with Alan, because he is so incredible and so passionate about his craft,” she said. “And that is really awesome to be able to see.”
Brown also gushed over her dancing partner’s passion and admitted that it’s part of the reason why she wants to win for him. “I feel like he loves what he does and it would be great to be able to have that moment with him to see his hard work that he’s invested into me for him,” Brown said.
Alan Bersten wants Hannah Brown to win the ‘DWTS’ finale
Prior to the Dancing With the Stars semi-finals, Bersten opened up about wanting Brown to win the ABC reality competition in his Entertainment Tonight blog.
“I would love to win the mirrorball, but honestly, I just want Hannah to win it,” Bersten wrote.
The dancer also revealed how he really felt about Brown’s strength and the hard work she puts into every performance. “I want Hannah to feel good about every performance and I want her to realize she is the reason we’re even in the semifinals,” he wrote. “Her hard work, dedication and amazing personality is why we’re still here. I’m just so proud of her.”
Meanwhile, when speaking with Life & Style Magazine, Bersten echoed the statements on the Entertainment Tonight blog.
“Honestly, I’ve said it before. I just want Hannah to win. It’s incredible for a pro to get a mirrorball, but it’s all about Hannah’s journey,” he said. “And she’s grown so much. Even though we’re a team, I want her to win. I guess if I’m a part of that, I’ll take the mirror ball!”
Then during the above interview with Access, Bersten also thinks that winning the DWTS finale isn’t about him at all — it’s about Brown.
“I love the mirrorball, but it’s not about me,” Bersten said. “She has dedicated so much time … these past 11 weeks to something that, you know, it’s just a mirrorball. But it means a lot more to her. And it means a lot to me to see her win it an achieve something she really put her heart on the line for. She’s been giving everything, every single day. And it would be a nice reward for her.”
DWTS fans might be sad Brown and Bersten aren’t dating. However, the pair’s strong friendship is enough to make viewers all over the nation fall head over heels. And most importantly, root for them on their journey in the DWTS finale.
