How Do Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington Feel About Kissing Each Other On ‘Game Of Thrones’?

The final season of Game of Thrones just premiered on HBO and there’s so much happening we can barely keep up. Everyone (except for Cersei Lannister and the Greyjoys) i pretty much hanging out at Winterfell as they await the Long Night. Meanwhile, the Night King and the Army of the Dead have broken through The Wall and are about to terrorize Westeros.

While everyone else is preparing for battle, Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen are super hot for each other (even though they’re hella related) and they’ve been spending time riding dragons and having mini-dates next to waterfalls. This is how Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke who portray Jon and Dany respectively feel about their characters’ romance.

How do Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington feel about kissing each other on Game Of Thrones?

After meeting during Season 7 of Game of Thrones, the hunky and brooding former King of the North has been enamored by the golden-haired Mother of Dragons. In the season finale of Season 7, the audience (and Tyrion Lannister) watched the pair finally consummate their relationship. According to Emilia Clarke and Kit Harington who have been close friends for years, it was a super gross experience.

HBO released some behind-the-scenes details about the filming of Season 8 Episode 1, “Winterfell” and Jon and Dany’s waterfall kiss apparently involved a lot of gagging. In the video, Harington breaks off the kiss and fake-gags. Clarke told Variety that the whole Jon/Dany romance has been so strange. She said, “The first scene we had together, we both just started laughing. Why are you looking at me this strange way and saying these strange lines? You’re my friend!”

Harington was also overwhelmed. He explained to Daily Mirror, “Emilia and I had been best friends over a seven-year period and by the time we had to kiss it seemed really odd.”

How exactly are Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen related?

If you’ve been paying attention since GoT debuted in 2011, or if you’ve read George R.R. Martin’s A Song Of Ice and Fire series, you’ve heard of the R+ L =J theory. This said that Rhaegar Targaryen + Lyanna Stark = Jon Snow.
That’s finally be confirmed. Jon’s real name is Aegon Targaryen. Since Rhaegar Targaryen was Daenerys Targaryen’s older brother –Jon Snow is fully her nephew.

What can we expect from the final season of Game of Thrones?

With just a few episodes left until we say goodbye to Game of Thrones forever, the final season of GoT is going to be a whirlwind. Now that Jon knows the truth about his background –all we can do is look toward the future to see how Dany and Jon are going to come together to battle the White Walkers and the ever-conniving Cersei Lannister.

GoT creator, DB Weiss told TV Guide, “From a dramatic standpoint, it makes things interesting, because the story is no longer about who Jon’s parents are. It’s about what happens when Jon finds out.”
